Lawsuit: Alabama Teen Tased While Having A Seizure
Sandra Barnett was kidnapped and murdered by Lisa Brown, who also turned the gun on herself.
Buster Barnett was a tight end with the Buf- falo Bills in the 1980s.
“The actions of the ...defen- dants ...were unjustified, un- provoked, and objectively unreasonable and constitute a violation of their rights under the Fourth Amendment and/or the Fourteenth Amendment to be free from the use of excessive force,” the suit states.
According to the lawsuit, the child had a seizure earlier that day and was treated at school, but not hospitalized. An acci- dent left the child with a con- dition that brings on seizures causing her to lose consciousness, experience muscle contractions and “sometimes exhibit loud vocal- izations caused by the forceful exhalation of air from her lungs.”
ELLENWOOD, GA --- The mistress of an former NFL player reportedly kidnapped his wife and fatally shot her before killing herself when po- lice caught up to her.
Sandra Barnett, 58, a special needs teacher, was ab- ducted from her home in El- lenwood, Georgia on Wednesday. The suspect, 49- year-old Lisa Brown, had been having a 3-4 affair with Sandra's husband Buster Barnett, a tight end for the Buffalo Bills in the 1980s, ac- cording to authorities.
The dramatic kidnapping was triggered when Brown became upset about the Bar- netts going on a trip together.
A friend heard an alterca- tion between the tight end's wife and supposed mistress over the phone as Brown al- legedly stormed into the house with a gun.
Someone driving past the house to check on Barnett saw an SUV quickly drive away.
The SUV, as well as the mis- tress’ home in Lithonia, Geor-
gia, were both in Barnett's name.
Officers spotted the vehicle on Thursday morning in west Georgia and chased it into Ala- bama.
Brown then suddenly stopped in the middle of the highway, where authorities say the fatal shootings occurred.
Brown drove toward the Al- abama border and refused to stop for police, leading to a chase that ultimately ended in with the mistress killing both Sandra Barnett and herself on Thursday.
The alleged mistress, also a school teacher in northern At- lanta, was on probation for an- other kidnapping in Texas, where in 2013 she had ab- ducted her now 12-year-old child after losing custody.
Sommer Brown, 12, was the subject of an Amber Alert in April of that year and it took three days to track down the mother and child.
Brown, who also left her teaching job in 2013, was sen- tenced to eight years probation in March.
DONALD TRUMP
NEW YORK, NY ---- A few weeks ago, Macy’s pulled Don- ald Trump brand merchan- dise from its stores after the Republican presidential candi- date’s recent controversial re- marks on immigration created a public uproar.
Macy’s released a statement saying the company “stands for diversity” and that it had no tol- erance for discrimination.
“We are disappointed and distressed by recent remarks about immigrants from Mexico. We do not believe the disparag- ing characterizations portray an accurate picture of the many Mexicans, Mexican Americans and Latinos who have made so many valuable contributions to the success of our nation,” Macy’s said.
Since then, the department store has received complaints from approximately 30,000 customers for ending its rela- tionship with Trump. The company has been “inundated with complaints” from cus- tomers who believe the store is unfairly punishing Trump for his views on immigration.
Sources say thousands of customers have vowed never to shop at Macy’s again and many have threatened to cut up their Macy’s credit card to make a statement.
Complaints have come in var- ious ways, including phone, Facebook and email.
Trump’s racist views on immigrants caused Univision to cancel its telecast of the Miss USA pageant, which is partially owned by Trump, and NBCU- niversal, which had jointly owned the Miss USA pageant and Miss Universe pageant with Trump, also severed its re- lationship with him.
Trump was also the host of “Celebrity Apprentice,” which airs on NBC, and will no longer be a part of the reality TV show.

Woman Who Videoed NY Man Who Died In Chokehold Files Lawsuit
WALLER COUNTY, TX --- - At least 100 people turned up for a prayer walk at the Chicago-area church of San- dra Bland in her honor after Bland was found hanged to death in a Texas jail cell.
DuPage AME in Lisle, Ill., held the walk for Sunday morning as the investigation into Bland's death continues. One of Bland's sisters and a brother were in attendance, while other family members met with the family attorney in Texas, according to Bland's sister.
Bland, a 28-year-old from suburban Villa Park, traveled from Chicago to Waller County, Texas, earlier this month for a new job at a local college. On July 10, she was arrested during a routine traf- fic stop and charged with as- saulting a peace officer.
Three days after her arrest, Bland was found hanged to death in her cell at the Waller County Jail in Hempstead, Texas. Friends and family of
NEW YORK --- The after- math of Eric Garner’s death continues to be a presence as the woman who filmed the tragedy is bringing a federal lawsuit against the New York police department.
The Guardian reports that Taisha Allen’s nine-count complaint against the depart- ment states the 37-year-old was unlawfully imprisoned, unlawfully searched and sub- jected to excessive force, among other allegations. Allen, who also resides in Staten Island, filmed Gar- ner’s death in July 2014 via a lesser-known video.
In the video, Garner is shown moments after being placed in a chokehold by NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo and laying incapacitated on the sidewalk while other officers and emergency medical work- ers stood nearby. Garner ulti- mately died. The suit goes on to detail that Allen saw officers harassing her friend after she sent him to the store to get more ingredients for a dinner she was cooking. Despite the officers accusing the friend of
TAISHA ALLEN trespassing on Allen’s prop-
erty, she told them she was his guest. According to the lawsuit, authorities told Allen to “mind her business.” It was then that officer Stephen Damico al- legedly told Allen: “OK, now you have a warrant out for your arrest.”
The suit notes Allen saying the officer made his statement without checking her name against any police databases. Adding to this were allegations from Allen that she was thrown against a fence, pushed to the ground and dragged sev- eral feet. At the time, Allen re- cently broke her leg.
Sandra Bland moved to Texas to take a new job at a local college.
Bland have questioned her death, saying they did not be- lieve she would commit sui- cide and noting her history of self-styled civil rights activism. The pastor at DuPage AME called for members of the church to write letters to the U.S. Attorney General's office demanding an investigation by the U.S. Department of Jus- tice. An online petition has been started as well.
