When I Long To Know God’s Will
Lord, I worship You and praise You as the all know- ing and all wise God of the universe. All things are known by You. You know all of my days, and You know the way I should go. Thank You that You give wisdom to those who ask for it. And I ask for wisdom today. I know that having mere knowledge apart from You will never be enough to satisfy the longing in my heart. I can never know enough. What I need to know, only You can teach me. Lord, I know it is Your will for me to give thanks in all things, so I thank You this day for everything You have done in my life (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiri- tual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. COLOS- SIANS 1:9-10
Heavenly Father, help me to live in Your will. Thank You that Your will is not beyond knowing that You reveal Yourself to me when I ask You to. Help me to abide in You so that I can understand Your ways and Your heart. With every decision I must make, I ask that You would give me wisdom, revelation, and clear leading form Your Holy Spirit.
By this we know that we abide in Him, and he is us, because He has given us of His spirit. 1 JOHN 4:13
Lord, thank You for giving me knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Colossians 1:9). Thank You for guiding me and leading me. Thank You for giving me understanding from Your Word and directing my steps so I can stay on the path You have for me. Thank You for revealing to me the way in which I should go regarding every decision I make. I praise You for Your wisdom and knowledge and revelation. Thank You for helping me to stand perfect and complete in the center of Your will (Colossians 4:12). Give me the en- durance I need, so that after I have done Your will, I will receive the promise (Hebrews 10:36).
He who does the will of God abides forever. 1 JOHN 2:17
