Jameis Winston (Shoulder) Leaves Early In Bucs' Loss
JAMEIS WINSTON
Jameis Winston, Mike Evans Get In Altercation With Saints' Marshon Lattimore
Tampa Bay Buccaneers re- ceiver Mike Evans avoided getting ejected after a late hit on Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore in the third quarter of Sunday's game between the teams.
On a third-and-five, Ryan Fitzpatrick threw an incom- pletion on a pass intended for DeSean Jackson. As the play ended, Jameis Winston, who was on the sideline be- cause he left the game with a right shoulder injury, then poked Lattimore on the back of his helmet.
Lattimore then pushed Winston in response. After that, Evans came from behind and knocked Lattimore to the ground with a shove to the back. When Lattimore went down, Evans then jumped on top of him and appeared to be trying to throw a punch before another Saints player shoved Evans off Lattimore.
Dez Bryant Sprains Right Ankle In Win Over Chiefs
DEZ BRYANT
Dallas' best target was side- lined Sunday.
Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant suffered an ankle in- jury during the fourth quarter of Sunday's 28-17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. The injury was to Bryant's right ankle, according to the television broadcast. Bryant left the game after an incompletion on a pass intended for him in the fourth quarter and did not re- turn.
Jason Garrett told re- porters after the game that Bryant sprained his ankle and the team would know more about the nature of his injury Monday.
Bryant recorded six catches for 73 yards before he departed.
Players Seek NFL Mediation With Colin Kaepernick Present
Tampa Bay's franchise quarterback was relegated to the sideline early on Sunday.
Winston was noticeably hindered by the injury during the first half, during which he completed 7 of 13 passes for 67 yards. It appeared as though his getting slammed to the turf forced him out of the game. Ryan Fitz- patrick replaced Jameis Winston to start the second half of the Buccaneers' 30-10 loss to the New Orleans Saints after Winston left due to a shoulder injury. Winston never returned to the game.
The quarterback suffered an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder in Tampa Bay's Week 6 game against
the Arizona Cardinals, which knocked him out early in the second quarter of a 38-33 loss. He returned the follow- ing week against the Buffalo Bills, completing 32 of 44 passes for 384 yards, three touchdowns and one inter- ception in a 30-27 loss.
Speaking to reporters after Sunday's loss, Win- ston said it was the same soreness he had been experi- encing in the weeks since he suffered the AC joint sprain. He said team doctors chose to pull him from the game.
Bucs coach Dirk Koet- ter said Winston will get an X-ray on his right shoulder to determine if its related to his original shoulder injury or if it's a new injury.
NFL players are reportedly seeking a formal mediation process with the NFL — and want Colin Kaepernick in- cluded.
Players, frustrated with the lack of progress from informal meetings with the league, have requested a formal mediation with the NFL overseen by a neutral third party.
The players also want Kaepernick there, and he has agreed to attend the meet- ing if it is scheduled.
Player concerns include so- cial and civil rights issues, as well as seeking answers for why Kaepernick has not been signed by any NFL team well into November in light of his decision to kneel during the national anthem.
Players have asked for the
COLIN KAEPERNICK
session to take place during the week of Nov. 13. The NFL has yet to agree to the meeting.
An NFL meeting would be a fascinating backdrop for a discussion on and with Kaepernick, given the pro- ceedings he’s currently going through with the league. The current situation seems to be satisfactory to no one, but it’s not clear how the gap between certain owners and players can be bridged.
  Aaron Rodgers Reportedly
Greg Hardy’s latest ath- letic endeavor is off to a pretty good start.
After an NFL career that last saw him play for the Cow- boys in 2015, Hardy has since turned his attention to mixed martial arts. On Satur- day, the former Pro Bowl de- fensive end made his debut at an event in Florida. Hardy was victorious via knockout in a fight that lasted just 32 seconds.
Hardy, 29, spent six sea- sons in the NFL, mostly with the Panthers. In 75 games, he

recorded 40 sacks, including 15 in 2013. Hardy’s football career went downhill after being accused of domestic vi- olence. Last year, he was ar- rested for possession of cocaine.

  Has Two Plates, 13 Screws
  In Broken Collarbone
Jalen Ramsey Tried To Confront A. J. Green In Locker Room
Aaron Rodgers recently revealed some details of his collarbone injury in a talk show setting, but he later im- plied he was joking when he said he had 13 screws inserted in his shoulder. According to one report, Rodgers was telling the truth.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media said Sunday that Rodgers had 13 screws and two metal plates inserted in his shoulder. While the idea is for all that metal to help him heal more quickly, the Green Bay Packers are still not ex- pecting Rodgers to play again this season.
“I’m told that collarbone fraction was displaced, which certainly makes it more com- plicated,” Rapoport said. “I’m also told when Aaron Rodgers joked with Conan O’Brien that he had 13 screws in his shoulder, that actually is how many screws

he had inserted. I’m also told he has two plates in his shoul- der to help solidify the collar- bone, potentially to accelerate healing.”
Rodgers missed just seven weeks when he broke his collarbone in 2013 and re- turned for the stretch run, but the injury sounds much more severe this time. It will be a challenge for Brett Hund- ley to keep the Packers in the playoff race, which makes it even less likely that Rodgers will play again in 2017.
Jalen Ramsey was so heated after his ejection dur- ing Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals that he tried to confront A. J. Green by the locker room, according to a report.
Ramsey and Green were both ejected before half- time for fighting. The Jack- sonville Jaguars cornerback instigated by shoving Green, who responded by going all UFC on the defensive back.
One report says Ramsey even wanted a word with Green once they cleared off the field and tried to confront him in the locker room.
Ramsey did not speak with reporters after the game, but Green acknowledged he was wrong for his actions.
“I should have walked off in that whole situation,” Green said, via Jack-

Green also said he went after Ramsey because he wouldn’t tolerate disrespect.
This is the second time in his career that Ramsey has been ejected from a game for fighting.
