High School Baseball Field Named In His Honor:
Recognition For Retired School District Employee David Best
The baseball field at George S. Middleton High School has been named in honor of one of its own – David Best, a 1958 graduate. After high school, Best went on to FAMU on a full baseball scholarship and played professionally with the Los Angeles Angels. (Photographs by Frederick Harris)
