Brandon Teenager Charged With Murder
Halloween Party Leaves 1 Teenager Dead, 1 Injured
On Tuesday night, around 9 p. m. deputies with the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice responded to a shooting in the 200 block of Harmony Lane. When they arrived, they found a man who was shot several times. The suspect then fled the scene.
During the investigation, detectives learned a verbal al- tercation took place between the suspect and the adult be- fore to the shooting.
Police said the teenager and the man knew each other. The suspect, Justin Baldera, 16, was later located and taken into custody with- out incident. Police charged Baldera with premeditated, first-degree murder with a firearm, causing great bodily
harm or death.

he fled the scene knowing he took a life,”
“No argument should ever result in the loss of life. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family.”
Baldera has a criminal history in Hillsborough County that includes charges of resisting law enforcement, loitering and prowling, bur- glary, and grand theft auto. He had been taking GED classes at Brandon Adult School.
What began as a Hal- loween party ended in a shooting that left one dead and one injured.
The party took place Monday night at a home in the 9000 block of Harney Road.
According to the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice, around 2:15 a. m., Tuesday, the Communica- tions Center received several 9-1-1 calls after shots rang out at the party. When Deputies arrived, they found an unidentified male teenager had been injured by gunfire.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. He is expected to recover.
Deputies also responded to a nearby Petrol Mart, 11511 U. S. 301 Highway, where a 17-year-old girl was also injured by gunfire. She was also transported to a local hospital where she was admitted. She died as a re- sult of her injuries. Police said she was a student at Bloomingdale High School.

Passenger In Car Caught In Crossfire Dies

Detectives learned that prior to the shooting, an ar- gument took place between unidentified individuals. Shortly thereafter, a shoot- ing occurred.
Detectives are continuing
their investigation, talking with people who attended the party.
At this time, it is unclear if the suspect and victims know each other. The inves- tigation is continuing.
An unidentified woman died early Saturday morning after she was shot during a crossfire. The shooting took place in the 1000 block of W. Busch Blvd., 12:14 a. m.
According to police, an unidentified source reported the disturbance to police. Po- lice then received a second call reporting that a woman was suffering from a gunshot wound in the 2200 block of W. Waters Avenue.
Tampa Police and Fire Rescue initiated life saving measures, but the adult female succumbed to her injuries.
Preliminary investigation has revealed the adult female was a passenger in a car in the
area of 1000 W. Busch Blvd., during the disturbance and was caught in the crossfire. The vehicle the female was in was not involved in the shootout.
The other occupants of the car were not aware the female was injured and drove away to reach a safe area.
Once it was realized the fe- male was injured, the driver stopped in the area of 2200 W. Waters Ave., and requested emergency assistance.
