Police Arrest Man In Deadly Gas Station Shooting
Student Threatens
Police have arrested a man in connection with a deadly shooting last week. The U. S. Marshal’s Task Force arrested the man in Davie, Florida.
According to the Temple Terrace Police Department, the shooting occurred at ap- proximately 10 p. m., on Oct. 24, 2022, at the 7-Star Gas Station, 7749 Temple Terrace Highway.
When police arrived at the business on the night of the shooting, the officers discov- ered two victims. One victim already dead when they ar- rived.
The second victim was
additional information about the shooting.
Johayward D. Brad- shaw, 23, is the primary sus- pect. Bradshaw was located and arrested on Oct. 28, in Davie, Florida.
He was charged with pre- meditated, first-degree mur- der; attempted first-degree murder, among other charges.

Last Wednesday, October 26, 2022, just after 8:00 a. m. the School Resource Deputy (SRO) at Tenoroc High School, 4905 Saddle Creek Road in Lakeland, received an anonymous tip that a stu- dent allegedly brought a gun to school.
The SRO identified and located the suspect, Santi- ago Soto-Garcia, 15, and found a pistol in his jacket pocket, and a magazine with 12 rounds in it in his pants pocket.
During the investigation, the officer learned that Soto- Garcia had allegedly threat- ened a student in the bathroom. The victim advised he walked into the bathroom and saw multiple subjects in the stall. The victim observed the defendant at which time the defendant said, “f**k ni**a” to the victim two times. The victim then walked away to the hand dryers be- fore the defendant followed him and stated that he would shoot him.

the defendant reached into the inner pocket of his jacket on the right side and pulled up what the victim identified as a gun.
Soto-Garcia was taken into custody and charged with possession of a firearm on school campus; carrying a concealed firearm; aggra- vated assault with a deadly weapon; disruption of a school function; possession of a firearm by someone under 18; and possession of a firearm with an altered serial number.
Armed Robbery Suspect Misses Victim, Shoots Dog
To Shoot Another
Police are currently searching for an armed rob- bery suspect who missed the victim, but killed one of his dogs. The incident took place last Friday Night in the 2600 block of W. Powhatan Av- enue.
According to police, just before 7 p.m., a Hispanic male in his early 50s was walking his two dachshunds in the 2600 block of W. Powhatan Avenue, when an armed Black man came up from behind him, pointed a gun, and demanded money.
The dogs became agitated and were moving around when the suspect shot at them multiple times, hitting one of the dogs.

running, trying to get away from the suspect. The suspect began chasing the victim and fired two more times. The victim was able to escape. He immediately took his dogs to an emergency
veterinarian, where the dog who was shot died from the injuries.
Tampa Police are actively looking for the suspect in this case. He is described as a thin Black male, approxi- mately 6’4.”
He was wearing a black hoodie, and gray sweatpants. He was last seen armed with a handgun while seen run- ning eastbound on W. Powhatan Avenue.
The investigation is con- tinuing.
