Top Ladies Of Distinction Elects New Officers

Recently, members of the Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., held their election of officers for the 2015-2017 term. The newly elected local officers are: Lor- retta Cottman, President; Maria Singfield, 1st Vice Pres- ident; Thelma Shuman, 2nd Vice President; Phyllis Lawrence, Corresponding Sec-
retary; Victoria Rowe, Top Teen Advisor; Margaret LeCree, Recording Secretary, and Jean Miller, Financial Sec- retary.
On a national level, members attended their 39th National Convention. During their bi-an- nual event, the ladies elected a new slate of officers to lead the organization.
The ladies represent chapters of the organization from
throughout the nation. This year, it made history when three of its former Top Teens were chosen to serve in national offices. Those members are Oteal W. Gilmore, of Chicago, who was chosen as the National 2nd Vice President; Harnell Williams, of Dallas, who was chosen Na- tional Area 1 Director; and Crys- tal Pittman, of Miami, who was chosen as the National Area IV Director.
Drema Lee Woldman, of Lynwood, Illinois was elected as the new National President. Other officeholders chosen were: Sharon Beard, of Dallas, Na- tional 1st Vice President; Cheryl Williams, of Houston, National Recording Secretary; Sandra Jennings, of Queens, National Financial Secretary; Vynessa Alexander, of Chicago, Na- tional Treasurer; and Janice Scrimmons, of Houston, Na-
tional TTA Director.

Crown chosen was Loris An- derson, of Houston; National Area II, Director, Helena Dod- son, of Hampton Rds; National Area III Director, Mary L. Davis, of East St. Louis; Sybil McDowell, of Cincinnati, Na- tional Area V Director; and Brenda Dodd, of Carson, CA, was chosen as National Area VI Director.
