Charter Schools Hold Commencement Ceremony
On Friday, June 26th at the Tampa Convention Center, a commencement ceremony was held for the 2015 graduates of Seminole Heights Charter School, West University Char- ter School, and Town ‘N Coun- try Charter School.
The parent organization that operates all three schools is Accelerated Learning Solu- tions, and their Board Chair, James Simmons, said this year’s ceremony was held at the Tampa Convention Center this year, because this year they held the ceremony for all three charter schools, more
than 120 students were gradu- ating, and in 2013, they had ceremonies for two of the schools, and realized they did- n’t have enough room.
Student speakers for the event were Taivian Gentry, Nathaniel Reyes, and Samantha Andrade.
The Parent Speaker was Kim Clinton, and the keynote speaker was Dr. Kenneth Ray, Vice President of Student Services and En- rollment Management at Hillsborough Community Col- lege. (PHOTOS BY FRED HARRIS)
