Cardi B Is Highest Charting Female Rapper Since 2014
Bruno Mars brought his hooligans and 24K Magic to Michigan Saturday night (Aug. 12) to perform for a sold-out crowd at the Palace of Auburn Hills, and towards the end of the night he told the audience he’ll donate $1 million to the Flint water crisis.
“I’m very thankful to the Michigan audience for joining me in supporting this cause. Ongoing challenges remain years later for Flint residents,
and it’s important that we don’t forget our brothers and sisters affected by this disas- ter. As people, especially as Americans, we need to stand together to make sure some- thing like this never happens in any community ever again.”
The singer-songwriter and multi instrumentalist said his donation will go to the Com- munity Foundation of Greater Flint.

There’s a new wrinkle in the antagonistic relationship be- tween 50 Cent and STARZ.
The G-Unit head honcho, who produces Power and por- trays one of its main charac- ters, says the premium cable channel blames him for leak- ing the final three episodes of the hit show’s fourth season.
“STARZ thinks I leaked my own show,” he wrote on Insta- gram. “anyway if you have on demand catch POWER tonight 12:00AM. If not Sunday 9:00PM it is LOL #50Central- bet.”

Cardi B broke her way into this week’s R&B/Hip Hop Sin- gle Sales Chart at #8 with “Bodak Yellow,” making her the highest charting female rapper since 2014.
Cardi B’s breakout hit “Bodak Yellow” saw a 39% in- crease in sales for the week ending August 3, 2017.
The popular single has rap- idly made its way up the Bill- board charts since its release. “Bodak Yellow” boasts a 71,574 in total sales with 21,739 of those from last week alone.

To Return To Basketball Wives?
A 28-year-old woman is reportedly suing Drake and Future for $25 million after she was allegedly raped after their Nashville, Tennessee concert at the Bridgestone Arena last August.
According to The Ten- nesseean, the unidentified woman was viciously at- tacked by 38-year-old Leavy Johnson after he told her he could get her backstage to meet both artists. Johnson claimed he was an employee at the venue. As soon as they were alone, he reportedly pushed her down in a corner
and raped her.
Johnson was indicted for
rape in January and after evading police for months, he was finally found in Tampa, Florida. He was arrested, ex- tradited back to Nashville and charged with rape in May.
The alleged victim believes Drake, Future and arena employees should’ve known Johnson had outstanding warrants for assault at the time of the alleged attack, and potentially posed a threat to the public.
Drake and Future have not addressed the allegations.

Ev’s rep states that the pair split in February, but accord- ing to TheYBF and other sources, they split a year ago.
