Another Trump Rule Goes Up In Smoke
#ShutItDownDC: Counter Protesters Vastly Outnumber White Supremacists At D.C. Rally
Protest groups gather near a white supremacists, neo-Nazis, members of the Ku Klux Klan and other hate groups gathering for the Unite the Right rally in Lafayette Park across from the White House August 12, 2018 in Washington, DC. Thousands of protesters were expected to demonstrate against the "white civil rights" rally, which was planned by the organizer of last year’s deadly rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The Trump administra- tion suffered yet another set- back this week. Scott Pruitt, late of the EPA, tried to undo an Obama ban on a dangerous pesticide, but it didn’t work out. Here’s the timeline:
March 2017: “The U. S. En- vironmental Protection Agency on Wednesday re- versed an Obama adminis- tration recommendation to ban a pesticide linked to nervous system damage in children....‘By reversing the previous administration’s steps to ban one of the most widely used pesticides in the world, we are returning to using sound science in deci- sion-making — rather than predetermined results,’ Pruitt said of the decision.”
All it takes is the stroke of a pen! It just goes to show what an energetic adminis- tration can do when it comes to rolling back ridiculous reg- ulations imposed by its far- left predecessor. But wait.
August 2018: “A federal appeals court ordered the Trump administration Thursday to revoke approval for a widely used pesticide that studies show can harm the brains of children....The court said the EPA had vio- lated the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and the Federal Insecticide, Fungi- cide, and Rodenticide Act. The laws require the EPA to ban a pesticide from use on food unless there is reason-
able certainty that it will cause no harm, the court said. ‘The EPA has never made any such determina- tion and, indeed, has itself long questioned the safety of permitting chlorpyrifos to be used within the allowed tol- erances,’ Rakoff wrote.”
It turns out that Republi- cans can’t just reverse stuff they dislike with the stroke of a pen after all. There are rules about undertaking actual sci- entific studies and then tak- ing the results seriously. You know, all the boring stuff. This is the same reason that DHS can’t repeal DACA with the stroke of a pen. The law requires agencies to ex- plain why they want to do something and to present ev- idence on both its legality and its effectiveness.
Trump’s appointees most- ly just want the headlines without bothering about any of the tedious work involved, and that’s why their rulings keep getting overturned.
On the one-year anniversary of the deadly racist rally in Charlottesville, Va., white su- premacists descended on the nation’s capital to hold a “Unite The Right 2” rally, calling for “white civil rights.”
However, they weren’t ex- actly greeted with open arms in Washington, D.C., which is not surprising in the liberal, major- ity Black and immigrant area affectionately known as “Chocolate City.”
While the number of white supremacists was expected to be in the hundreds, the Wash- ington Post reports that there were actually about two dozen when the 2-hour rally kicked off at 5:30 p.m. Counter pro-
testors arrived in the thou- sands in an all-out effort to thwart the racists.
It was a far cry from last year’s rally in Charlottesville when scores of far-right sym- pathizers and counter protest- ers clashed. The event culminated when a white su- premacist drove his car into a group of counter protesters, killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer. Two Virginia State troopers also died when their helicopter crashed as they re- turned from the rally.
But on Sunday evening at the outset of the rally, thousands of tweets and videos by counter protesters showed how racists were shutdown.
   Omarosa Claims In New Book
Trump Used The 'N' Word
Omarosa
Newman, the former "Ap- prentice" contestant who be- came a White House aide, says in her new book that President Donald Trump is a "racist" who used the N- word — and tried to silence her with money and legal threats.
In her upcoming tell-all book entitled "Unhinged," to be published next week and obtained by NBC News di- rectly from the publisher, Newman alleges that Trump was caught on a mi- crophone saying the N-word "multiple times" during the filming of "The Apprentice," and says there is a tape to prove her allegation.
Newman wrote that she did not hear Trump use the slur, nor has she listened to the alleged tape. She cites three sources as having told
Manigault
scribes her "growing realiza- tion that Donald Trump was indeed a racist, a bigot and a misogynist," during her time in the White House.
"My certainty about the N-word tape and his frequent uses of that word were the top of a high mountain of truly appalling things I’d ex- perienced with him, during the last two years in particu- lar," Newman writes.
Newman, who NBC N e w s reported was dis- missed from her White House role, wrote, "It had fi- nally sunk in that the person I'd thought I'd known so well for so long was actually a racist. Using the N-word was not just the way he talks but, more disturbing, it was how he thought of me and African-Americans as a whole." She says she left the White House job on her own.

The dust-up between Pres- ident Trump and Don Lemon took flight after Lemon’s interview with bas- ketball star LeBron James. The LA Lakers player, who re- cently opened a school in his hometown of Akron, criticized Trump saying he used sports to divide people.
That comment ignited a Trump’s Twitter tirade. Trump was in his feelings and tweeted: “Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on tele- vision, Don Lemon,” he wrote. “He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!” referring to basketball legend Michael Jordan.
While James has yet to re- spond to Trump, Lemon had much to say about Trump insults aimed at him.
“I would just like to note that referring to African Americans as dumb—remem- ber, this is America—referring to African Americans as dumb
After being referred to as “dumb” by the President, CNN’s Don Lemon fired back at Donald Trump, calling him a racist and a bully who uses hateful tactics to try to dimin- ish black intellectuals.
is one of the oldest racist ca- nards of America’s past and present; that black people are of inferior intelligence,” Lemon said.
He added: “This president constantly denigrates people of color, and women too.”
Lemon made mention of Trump attacks on black Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters, who he referred to as a “very low IQ individual.”
