MS. MARALYN ALNEEDA BURROUGHS JOHNSON
A Home Going Graveside Cele- bration for Ms. Maralyn Alneeda Burroughs Johnson, of Tampa, FL, who passed away on Tuesday, Sep- tember 23, 2021, will be held on Saturday March 6th, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida with Elder Alvin Wingfield, Officiating.
Maralyn Alneeda Burroughs Johnson was born on June 22, 1939, in Sanford, Florida to the parentage of Thomas and Evelyn Burroughs.
She leaves to cherish her mem- ories with 7 children, Joyce Davis (Freddy), Charlyn Kathy Bowers (Clarence), Sonja Long (Wilbert), Ronald Starks, Karol Jones, Cedric Trussell (Danielle) and Rhonda Trussell-Woodruff (Oscar); 11 grandchildren, Duane Brown, Jr., (Ruthie), Kenneth Brown, Marlon Brown (Jessica), Gerrica Randall (John), Rande Williams, Faith Richardson (Dwain), Alonzo Brock, Isaiah Jones, Cedric Trussell, Jr., Monica Taylor and My’kel Woodruff; 13 great grandchildren, Lavonte` Brown, Javonte` Brown, Jeremiah Brown, Brieanna Frezzey, Jada Brown, Jazmine Brown, Donte` Williams. Jr., Rande Starks Williams, Aaliyah Mann, Sean Randall, Jodi Williams, DeMarcus Johnson, II, and Aeryn Richardson; 1 brother, Troy Bur- roughs; 2 sisters, Coretha Williams (Fraizer) and Sandra Jackson Petion (Gesner); 7 nieces, Balarie Johnson, Roberta Burroughs, Kim- berlea Jackson, Brianna Perry- Tucker, Andrea Wofford, Diedre Wofford and Dorcas Wofford; 6 nephews, Charvester Darryl An- thony, Vernon Jackson, Jr., George Smith, III, Terryl Jackson, David Wofford, John Wofford and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Fri- day March 5th, 2021 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida.

Her love for her family ex- tended to the other children in the neighborhood as well and those re- lationships continued until her de- mise. She was a good friend and neighbor who was always willing to make you laugh and lend a hand. When she talked with you, she would often ask, “How you doing, baby?” and would gently touch you often during the visit. She loved the Lord and testified of how He transformed her life. She would say, “I know it was the blood of Jesus that saved me.”
She was a member of St. John Progressive M. B. Church, under the leadership of Pastor Bartholomew Banks, Sr., and was also a member of the Senior Min- istry the ‘Keenager.’
Vila’s loving radiant smile, quick wit, singsong voice, and out- going friendly spirit will be forever etched in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Clinton and Minnie White; and her husband, Em- manuel Jones.
She leaves to cherish her pre- cious memories with: daughter, Catherine Jones (Joseph) and sons, Anthony Jones and Pierre Jones (Yvette); grandchildren, Christopher Williams (Mercedes), Lamar Williams (Trelice), Tonae Filer (Melvin) and Z’Toria Jones; 9 great grandchildren, Tamia Williams, Treyvon Quatermon, Teniyah Williams, Cameron Williams, Christopher Williams, Jr., Mauricia Nolen, Za’maria Ming, Willie Davis, and Lamar Williams, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Christine Jones-Speights and Ada Johnson; the Jones and Carswell families and a host of nieces and nephews, friends and caregiver, Frances Hill, church daughter, Carolyn Snell, the Northview Hills Atwater neighbors and a host of other relatives and friends.

MR. WILLIE H. MYERS
A graveside service was held for Mr. Willie H. Myers on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida with Pastor Farnorris Morgan, of- ficiating. Mr. Willie H. Myers was born on November 1, 1945 to the parentage of Willie Holland and Altonia Etoy Myers in Savannah, Georgia. He was educated in the Hillsborough County School Sys- tem, where he graduated from Blake High School the Class of ’65.
Mr. Myers joined Beulah Bap- tist Church at a young age under the leadership of Rev. A. Leon Lowry. He was employed by American Can Company. After the plant closed, he gained employ- ment with Borden’s Dairy where he worked until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Holland and Altonia E. Myers; grandfather, Jimmy Myers; niece, Rhonda Kelly; father-in-law, Frank Wooden Sr.; brother–in-law, Frank Wooden Jr., and sister-in- law, Gloria Sims. Mr. Myers leaves to cherish the best memo- ries of him with his wife of 40 years, Linda Wooden Myers; 3 daughters, Valeria Myers, Novik Myers, and Altonia Myers; 1 son, Kevin Myers; 1 stepson, Andre’ Davis Sr. (Angelina); 4 grand- daughters, Jerika Jones, Shaquanda Murray, Akira Myers, and Alise Davis; 4 grandsons, Ja- marcus Davis (Jerlacie), Andre’ Davis II, Larry Mayo III, and Amir Davis; 1 great grandson, Javion Davis; aunt, Arley Johnson, Cali- fornia; niece, Nadine Johnson; mother-in-law, Frances Wooden; sister-in- law, Wanda Wooden and a host of loving family, friends and the Class of ’65 Blake High School.

Mr. Emmanuel Devon White (Manny) “Mexico” passed away on February 21, 2021. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sat- urday March 6, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Pentecostal Church of God, 509 E. Columbus Drive, Tampa, Florida 33602, with Pastor Cherry Green, Officiating. Inter- ment will follow at Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
Mr. Emmanuel Devon White was born in Tampa, Florida, on July 4th, 1998, to parentage of Michael E. White, Sr., and Francis Mitchell-White. He attended the public schools of Hillsborough County.
He was preceded in death by: his brother, Angelo White; his grandparents, Tommie Mae Williams-White and Leroy White, Sr., Daisy Mae Mitchell and Jacob Mitchell; his aunts, Queen White, Cathy Bulmer, and Janice Bulmer; his uncles, Otis White, Sr., and Larry Bulmer.

        MRS. VILA JONES
A viewing will be held for Mrs. Vila M. Jones on Thursday March 4th, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida. God in His mercy chose to relieve her earthly suffering to rest in peace on Sunday, February 21, 2021.
Mrs. Vila M. Jones was born on September 3, 1938, in Crystal River, Florida, to the parentage of Clinton and Minnie White. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and a 1958 graduate of Howard W. Blake, for- merly Don Thompson High School.
She met and later married Em- manuel Jones and born to this union was one daughter and two sons. Vila worked in housekeep- ing for thirty years with the Uni- versity Of South Florida (USF). Many college students who lived in the dorms experienced her kind and nurturing spirit. She retired from USF in 1996.
Vila was a loving, kind, caring and friendly person who met no strangers. She was a mother who showered her children, grandchil- dren and great-grandchildren with a nurturing affection.
Some of her great grandchil- dren fondly called her “Double G.” She knew that a dog was not just a man’s best friend, but a woman’s too, and found comfort and com- panion in her little dog.
