Ms. Wilda Janice Finley, 65, of Sarasota, FL, passed away on Feb. 23, 2021. Visitation was heldfrom9a.m.–11a.m.on Sat., Feb. 27, 2021 at Westcoast Church.
Services were held 11 a. m., Sat., Feb. 27, 2021, at Westcoast Church. Burial was held 3 p. m. on Sat., Feb. 27, 2021 at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Ms. Finley was born October 1, 1955.
She leaves to cherish her memories: sisters, Brenda Pace, Sarah Williams, and Kathy Green; brother, William Finley, Jr.; niece, Francoise Faison, and nephew, Caleb Walker.

MRS. CAROL ANGLIN-BECKFORD
Mrs. Carol Anglin-Beckford, of Land O’ Lakes, FL, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021. Funeral service will be con- ducted Saturday, March 6, 2021, 2 p. m. Ms. Carol Anglin-Beckford was a native of Kingston, Ja- maica, born to Kenneth and Eva Anglin. Carol was the 5th child out of 7 children born to this marriage. She also had 2 other siblings, making a total of 8 sib- lings.
She was married to her ex- husband, Lipton Beckford and from that union they had 2 chil- dren, Melinda and Nathaniel, and her oldest son, Antywan, was also raised within this union. She loved her children very dearly.
Throughout her lifetime, Carol loved to travel, and she worked as a typesetter for The Florida Sentinel Bulletin, and Department of Housing in Tampa. She finally found her calling as a Mortgage Consultant at Chase Bank, in Jacksonville, FL and the Bank of America, in North Carolina, until she was not able to work anymore.
Carol was a very loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her Loyalty and Love for her family superceded every- thing. Her love for fashion and glamour was top notch.
She left to cherish her memo- ries: children, Antywan, Melinda and Nathaniel; grandchildren, Zyaire, Herlando, Jr., and Hezekiah; her sisters, Donna, Jennifer, Rose, and Juanita; her brothers, Michael, Vincent, Daniel, and Monte; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She will truly be missed. We love her more.
The remains will repose from 3 – 7 p. m. Friday, March 5 at Ray Williams Funeral Home. We are asking family and friends to please follow the CDC Guide- lines. Masks are required.

MRS. BETTY BRIGGS-JOHNSON
A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Betty Briggs-Johnson, of Riverview, Florida, who transi- tioned to her heavenly home on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Mrs. Betty Briggs-Johnson was born in Tampa, Florida and she was edu- cated in the public schools of Hills- borough County, graduating from Howard W. Blake High School, Class of 1965. She later earned a B. A. degree in Business Administra- tion.
Mrs. Betty Briggs-Johnson was employed with GTE (now Ver- izon Communication, Inc.) for over 30 years prior to her retire- ment.
Mrs. Betty Briggs-Johnson was a loyal and faithful member of Beulah Baptist Institutional Church, where she faithfully and proudly served as the Church Treasurer, member of the Dea- coness Board, the Ladies of Emer- ald and the Sanctuary Choir.
Her community and civic or- ganizations included being a member of Nu Upsilon Zeta Chap- ter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and a member of the Tampa Bay Area Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women.
She was preceded in death by: her loving and devoted husband, Johnnie Johnson, III; parents, Peter James and Katie Forbes, Sr; brother, Rufus Forbes; and great grandson, Joshua Coleman.
She leaves to cherish her lov- ing and precious memories with: her children, Eleanor JaNiece Bell (Cedric), Avery Briggs, Sr. (Stacey), Andrea Briggs, Ife John- son Rosser (Erroll, Sr.), and Taneshia Johnson; grandchildren, Avery Briggs, II, (Tiffany), Kaitlin Bell Coleman (Samuel), Kayla Bell-Consolver (Tabitha), Sydney Benjamin, Dorien Brown, Aric Briggs (Abbey), Timothy Persico, Addison Johnson, Shenise Wal- lace (Davis, Jr.,), Brittney Green (Shyteek), Erroll Rosser, Jr., and Ellis Rosser; great grandchildren, Jonathan Coleman, Emish Cas- taneda, Julius Briggs, Averianna Briggs, and Jarell Briggs; sister, Mary Forbes Williams; brother, Peter Forbes, Jr., (Elaine); mother-in-law, Delores Johnson; sister-in-law, Deadra Johnson Griffeth; brother-in-law, Wendell Scott Johnson (Anita); goddaugh- ter, Cicely Turner; special friend, Sandra Butler and a host of many other relatives and friends.

DEACON PAUL GRANT
Deacon Paul Grant of Tampa, FL passed away Monday, Febru- ary 22, 2021. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 6, at 2 p. m. at Life In Christ Com- munity Church Ministry, 9706 N. 26th Street, with Pastor Arthur L. Randall, Presiding and Pastor Marquese Gundy, Eulogist. In- terment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Please follow the CDC Guidelines. Masks are required.
Deacon Paul Grant was born to Brewster and Susie Bell Grant, of Evergreen (Sandhill), Florida. Paul Grant was employed by Gay- lord Container Box Company for over 30 years, until his retire- ment. He also had a lawn service for over 30 years as well. Until his passing, he was the Chairman of the Deacon Board at Life in Christ Community Church Min- istry.
Paul was a dedicated man to the Lord and loved being with his children. His favorite words, which he spoke to them quite fre- quently was, “Men, take care of your family.” He loved his family and was loyal to his family. While attending to his family, he would travel frequently to Jacksonville, Callahan, Sandhill, Yulee, and Fernandina, Florida, to make sure everyone was doing well.
He was preceded in death by: his father and mother, Brewster and Susie Bell Grant; 3 brothers, Alonzo Grant, Leo Grant, and Brewster Grant; 1 sister, Mar- garet Grant; 3 sons, Paul Bernard Grant, Carl Edward Grant, and Larry Darnell Grant.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ory: his wife of 65 years, Mildred Grant; son, Tyrone Grant (Sharon); 2 daughters, Brenda Grant-Walker and Asst. Pastor Linda Randall (Arthur); a host of grandchildren, great grandchil- dren, and great, great grandchil- dren (too many to name); sisters, Violet McCarter and Justina Grant, Fernandina, FL; sister-in- law, Virginia Grant, Fernandina, FL; brother-in-law, Leonard Robinson (Rhonda); favorite cousin, Thelma Albertie, Sand- hill, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews and good friends, Car- nell and Mary Buie and Fred and Vivian Gray.

MRS. BETTY ANN LOVETT
Mrs. Betty Ann Lovett of Tampa, FL, passed away Satur- day, February 27, 2021. A Graveside Funeral Service will be conducted Saturday, March 6, from 2:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610. Interment will follow. Mrs. Betty Ann Lovett was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsbor- ough County and was a gradu- ate of Howard W. Blake High School and furthered her edu- cation with the Tampa Business College.
Mrs. Lovett was a member of St. John Progressive Mis- sionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Betty loved her family and the West Tampa Community. She was a loving homemaker and domestic worker for various families.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Nellie M. Williams and Allan Davis, Jr.; husband, Charles R. Lovett, Sr. son, Charles R. Lovett, Jr.; brothers, Robert, Charles, Earl, Johnny and Nathaniel Lindsey.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving children, Tamara Armstrong and Rick Lovett; grandchildren, Gene (Stephanie), Valarie (Boston), Rasheedah, and Woodrow; great grandchildren, Delexisus, Darius, Ashley, Ashtyn, and De- mond; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
