MR. TONEY ARNEZ DOUGLAS
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Toney Arnez Douglas, of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021, will be held on Thursday, March 4th, 4:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd., Minister Michael Peterson, of- ficiating.
Toney was born August 3, 1962, in Tampa, Florida. Toney was church usher and proud to be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord. He also loved watch- ing movies, going fishing and enjoyed a special bond with his siblings and playing dominos with his uncle, Tommy.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Charles Dou- glas and Essie Mae Jackson; brother, Charles Douglas, Jr., and grandmother, Mattie Mae Hines.
He leaves to cherish his pre- cious memories with: his sister, Patricia Parks; brothers, Robert Thompkins, Lorenzo Spencer and Kamau Malik; wife, Irene Douglas; children of heart, Michael J. Ponder, Michael Gadsden, Dwohn Burchett, Miaudre Harris and Carter girls; grandchildren of heart, Ramese Sanders, Bri- anna Sackel, Dionecio and Ariz- mendi; aunts, Beulah Groce and Juanita Burston; uncles, Tommy Upshaw and Richard Burston, a host of loving nieces, nephews; cousin, Tommy Up- shaw, Jr.; special friend, Betty Williams.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral one hour prior to the service on Thursday. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Thursday for the service.

MS. GAIL LASHAWN GODWIN
A Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Gail Lashawn Godwin, of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021, will be held on Saturday, March 6th, 3:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ms. Gail Lashawn Godwin was a native and lifelong resi- dent of Tampa, Florida, born to Arthur L. Godwin and the late Annie L. Jennings-Godwin.
She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County, graduating from Chamberlain High School and then employed at Equifax Credit Services.
Ms. Godwin was preceded in death by: her mother, Annie L. Jennings-Godwin.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories with: her father, Arthur L. Godwin; 2 brothers, Darryl G. Godwin and Arthur L. Godwin, Jr.; 4 sisters, Gwendolyn A. Godwin, Valerie M. Godwin, Sharon J. Thornton and Angele Richard- son; 12 nephews and nieces; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins as well as special friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 5th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the Chapel on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines (mask are re- quired).

MR. NATHANIEL O’NEAL, JR.
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Nathaniel R. O’Neal, Jr., of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021, will be held on Saturday, March 6th, 10:00 a.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Mar- tin Luther King, Jr., Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Nathaniel R. O’Neal, Jr., found eternal rest February 19, 2021. Nathaniel R. O’Neal, Jr., aka Jook, Baby Z, and Boy Baby was born on May 8, 1947. He graduated from Middleton High School.
He had a long career at Peo- ples Gas, where he retired. In his leisure time he enjoyed freshwa- ter fishing and hunting.
Nathaniel R. O’Neal, Jr., was preceded in death by: his father, Nathaniel R. O’Neal, Sr., his mother, Rosa Bruton and his son, Nathaniel R. O’Neal, III (aka Yogi).
Nathaniel R. O’Neal Jr., leaves to cherish his memories are his daughters, Patricia O’Neal (Aaron Cone) and “Big Girl” Melissa Espinoza (Luis Es- pinoza); his grandchildren, Nathaniel R. O’Neal, IV, and Na- talie O’Neal; his brother and sis- ters, Alphonso Bruton, Inez Bush and Ruth Lockett; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

MRS. RUTH MAE MITCHELL GREY
A Homegoing Service for Mrs. Rutha Mae Mitchell Grey of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021, will be held on Saturday, March 6th 1:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Dr. Michael Mc- Cray, officiating. The inter- ment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rutha was born to the late Albert and Maud Mitchell on February 25, 1940 in Tampa, Florida. She was educated in Hillsborough County, graduat- ing from Middleton Sr. High School, class of 1959. She fur- ther studied in the field of culi- nary and graduated from Brewster Technical School, Culinary of Arts Program.
She worked as a cook for J. C. Penny Department store for years and retired after many years. She also worked as a cook for the Shelley Green Diner for years.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, 8 sisters, 1 daughter, 1 son and other family members.
She leaves fond memories and to never to be forgotten with: nephew, Zeron Mc- Carthon her caretaker (they loved each other very much); grandson, Gary J. Presley and family; granddaughter, Eboni Burns and family; her only sis- ter, Eugenie Shuler. who has been up and down with her; other family members and friends to include, Lavon L. Anderson, Essie Reese, Re- becca Hair and family, Samuel Kennedy, her nephew she raised; Progress Village friends; FBPV family, Keeney Church family, Mrs. Blatch and the Middleton class of 1959 and many more.

Dr. Mar- tin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Pastor of St. John Progressive M.B. Church, officiating. The interment will be held at Florida National Ceme- tery, Bushnell, Florida.
Melenese Bradley was born on September 16, 1930, in Savan- nah, Georgia, but was a resident of Tampa, for over 40 years. She received Christ at an early age and was a member of St. John Progressive M. B. Church. She loved the Lord with her whole heart.
She was educated by Middle- ton Adult High School and previ- ously worked for the State of Florida and Savannah, Georgia School system.
Melenese Bradley was pre- ceded in death by: her mother, Alberta Williams. her loving, de- voted husband Houston Bradley (24 years of marriage); her sons, Samuel McDuffie, Henry Mc- Duffie and Robert Shabazz, Sr; her brothers, Albert Williams, Ernest Williams, and Henry Williams; her sisters, Geneva Story, Sadie Way and Arnetta Howard; grandson, Jeremy Shabazz; great grandson, Torrie Leon McDuffie; and great grand- daughter, Sierra Alexis McDuffie.
She leaves to cherish her pre- cious memories with: her grand- sons, Robert Shabazz, Jr., (Michelle) Shabazz, Jibrail Shabazz (Monica Askins) and Jermaine Shabazz; granddaugh- ters, Pamela McDuffie, Roaslinda McDuffie, Zackiah Franklin and Mecca Moore; great grand daughters, A’sonya Shabazz, Ari- anna Shabazz, Asia Shabazz, Jizia Shabazz, Abria Shabazz and Tatyana Shabazz; great, great grandchildren, Jayana Shabazz and Royal Shabazz; special friends: Jarrold Gunn, Andre Gunn, AJ Gunn, Thony (Mer- cella) Oliver, Jarrington Oliver and Kenny Monroe; friends, Catherine Smith, Jackqueline Preston, Patsy Williams, Jacque- line Walker, Phyllis Andrews, Betty Gollmam, Kennethia Mon- roe, Renita Jones and Sharon Drummond; a host of other rela- tives and friends.
