15 New Principals Appointed For Upcoming School Year
Tampa Pastor Inspires Women With Second Book
KEVIN GORDON ...New principal of Hillsborough High School
Fifteen (15) new Principals were appointed for the upcom- ing school year within the Hillsborough County School district. All of the appoint- ments were approved by the Hillsborough County School Board at last Tuesday’s meet- ing.
Two appointments of note were Kevin Gordon and Va- lerie Newton.
Dr. Gordon will become the new principal for Hillsbor- ough High School. He was for- mally an assistant principal at Meadowlawn Middle School in St. Petersburg.
Valerie Newton will be- come the new principal of Blake High School. Ms. New- ton is the former principle of Burnett Middle School.

Pastor, Dr. Laytecia McKinney has just pub- lished her second book, "I Am WOW A Woman of Wis- dom," a devotional and jour- nal designed to empower women to be great.
Dr. McKinney heard the voice of the Lord and obeyed the call to Pastor, after serving faithfully at her previous church for over 18 years.
In 2006, Dr. McKinney founded Victory Temple Out- reach Ministries. Within two years of ministry, Victory grew out of its initial location and relocated to its current location of 5819 N. 56th Street, Tampa, FL.
In conjunction with her ministry, Dr. McKinney is the founder of the I Am WOW Mentorship Insti-

tute, where she advises women starting, launching, and marketing their busi- nesses. The Institute also holds leadership develop- ment sessions and mentor- ing.
The WOW woman box is also available on the website, where Dr. McKinney spe- cially curated a collection of items to nurture the WOW Woman ideal.
Dr. McKinney is also the owner of Wisdom in Print Publishing company. After finding difficulties in publishing her first book, she decided that she would help herself and others interested in being published. She has published several books by local authors.

Dr. McKinney works as a Litigation Paralegal by pro- fession. Her first book, "Liv- ing Single God's Way", is a single woman’s guide to wholeness.
She is an honor graduate of Hillsborough Community College and Tampa Bay Legal Academy. At Tampa Bible College she earned her Mas- ter of Divinity, Masters of Christian Counseling and Doctorate in Christian Edu- cation.
