Know What The People You Vote For Oppose
Now that “early voting” sites are open, we urge our readers to vote and vote early. Moreover, we urge you to remember the political party that has declared
war against women, transgender youth, Black voters, Black and whites who have student loans, and gave large corporations a hefty tax cut and banned books that were available to us for the past 50+ years.
Most importantly, is to not vote for members of the political party who thought the January 6th assault on the nation’s Capitol was a friendly “get together party,” yet tear-gassed, shot rubber bullets, and tasered peace- ful Black Lives Matter protesters.
Please don’t forget the party that opposes Biden for giving $10,000 to $20,000 reductions to Americans with federal student loans and still refuse to disavow Trump’s behavior and in instigating the attack on the Capitol; and who still think Trump won the 2020 elec- tions.
We came very close to losing our democracy to a party that attempted to install bogus electors, part- nered with members of hate groups, and still has not accepted Biden for winning the election.
Women received a double whammy when 172 Repub- licans voted against passing the Violence Against Women Act. Most Republicans voted against protect- ing Americans’ right to use contraception. Moreover, there is a rumor that if Republicans get a majority of Senate seats, they will seek to impeach Biden.
The Republican Party also opposed the climate change legislation. Republicans voted against any leg- islation that favored every day and all citizens. How- ever, they had no problem cutting taxes for corporations and billionaires.
We hope you as voters are WOKE enough to under- stand we are under attack AND the suppressive trends our democracy will CONTINUE to take if Republican politicians regain power.
MAKE SURE YOU VOTE.
