MR. DONALD JAMES, JR. ‘SPUD’
Mr. Donald James, Jr., a.k.a., “Spud,’ was the beloved son of the late, Linda Gwennett Kinchen Best (mother); father, Donald James, Sr.; and stepfather, Willie McArthur.
He was born September 3, 1970 at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, FL. He was a resident of Tampa most of his life.
He was an outgoing per- son, full of life, loved kids and was a very nice, respectable person. He had a personality that would brighten up a dark or dim day and he always had a will to help others. He was free-hearted and had a good spirit.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Mrs. Linda G. Kinchen Best; sister, Inga L. Best; uncle, Bennifer Kinchen; and several other family members.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his father, Donald James, Sr.; brother, Adrian James, Sr. and wife, Quane- sha and children; sisters, Jacqueline Ivory, Jacqueline D. Ball and Tina Greer; a host of nieces and nephews, in- cluding: Jacqueline James (Antonio) Ivory, Adrian James, Jr., Autheria Jeffery, Katrenda Brown, Carolyn James, Keyera Brown,
Jakeyia Brown, Angelica James, Shamon Best, Antonio Best, Demetrius Best, Adrian James, Jr., Andre James, De- Andre James, Leana Bright, Keona Magee, Caden Best, Ashley Berret, Jaden Best, Anthony Cole, Davin McDon- ald, Jaquine Best and Treas- ure Best; a host of aunts and uncles, including: Zelda Kinchen, Shari Washington (Junior), Lucious Kinchen (Bonnie), Bobby Cobb (Candy), Willie James Tolbert (Martha), Tommy Lee Tolbert (Lottie), Emmit Kinchen and Robert Kinchen, Annie Mae Erby, Voncel James, Gracey Harris, Elouise and family of Ft. Myers, FL, Nancy Jackson and family, Willie J. James of Ohio, Uncle Willie James and Leonard King; a host of cousins, including: Ron- shetha Lamb, Nikuan Kinchen, Muffin Washington- Laws, Lokeisa Moore, Deder- icka Mansfields, Junequa Derby, Jubriya Derby, Santrice Best, Taryn La- grome-Laws, KiKi Jackson, Robin Jackson, Robert Jack- son, Jr., Sharon Jackson and Patrick Gadson; girlfriend, Sharita White; best friend, Shalina of Miami, FL; a host of brothers-in-law and sis- ters-in-law, including: Mr. Q, David Williams, Karin ‘Pink’ Powell and Rosena ‘Bay Bay’ Harris; godbrother, Shimmy; and a host of other family and friends, too numerous to mention individually, but not without thought.
The homegoing celebration will be Saturday, May 7, 2016, at 11 a. m. at Abundant Life Enrichment Church, 4701 E. Hanna Ave., Tampa, 33610, Pastor Randy Randolph. In- terment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.
There will be a viewing on Friday, May 6 from 5-7 at Gudes Funeral Home, 4050 E. Hillsborough Ave., Tampa, 33610.

MS. TANYA LASHAWN COPELAND
A homegoing celebration for Ms. Tanya LaShawn Copeland of Tampa, who passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Melech Hospice House of Temple Terrace, will be held Saturday, May 7 at 10 a. m. at Winners Worship Center, 11605 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa, 33612, with Pas- tor Brenda Fruster, officiat- ing, and Robert Fruster, pastor. Interment will be pri- vate.
Ms. Copeland was born in Tampa, on January 2, 1973. Tanya received Christ at an early age and was a member at Winners Worship Center until her passing. Tanya was a hardworker, who loved peo- ple. She has done CNA, Secu- rity Services, and pre-k teacher and a loving caring mother.
She was preceded in death by: her daughter, Justine Baker; grandfathers, Mr. George Kennedy and Samuel Copeland; auntie, Dina Williams; and cousins, Ti- Quana L. Williams.
Tanya leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Mrs. Vanessa Copeland; Mr. Lawrence (Cookie) Copeland; 3 daughters, Monique Baker, Manisha Copeland and Shanteria Cason; 3 sons, Malachi (Rozlynn) Baker, III, Derrick Gilghrist and Jae- Quan Copeland; grandmoth- ers, Mrs. Florance Williams and Mrs. Willa Kennedy; sis- ters, Mrs. Wendy Copeland- Carter and Sherricka Copeland; brothers, Lawrence Copeland, Sr. and Marcus Cooley; grandchil- dren, ManTasia Zahara, Ricky, Rick-Tayvion, Angel- lina, Malaquan, Syreneti- Saige, TJ and Ariyanah; and goddaughter, Kaaliyah Dukes.

Visitation for Ms. Copeland will take place Saturday morning from 8-10 a. m. at the church.
The processional at the church will assemble at 9:45 a. m. THERE WILL BE NO VIEWING AFTER THE EULOGY.

MR. RUDOLPH MELVIN, JR., a.k.a., ‘PIMP RUDY’
A homegoing celebration for Mr. Rudolph Melvin, Jr., a.k.a., “Pimp Rudy,” who peacefully passed away in the hospital Thursday, April 28, 2016, at the age of 62, will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016, at 11 a. m. at Faith Temple MB Church, 2916 Orient Rd., Tampa, 33619, with Rev. Eric E. Campbell, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Ceme- tery.
Rudy worked as a Long- shoreman for many years at International Longshoremen #39; Association Local 1402 Of Tampa.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Rudolph Melvin, Sr. and Pearlie Mae Melvin; sister, Revonne Melvin; brother, Alfonzo Melvin; nephew, Nathaniel O’Neal, Jr.; and cousins, Cyn- thia Williams and Wilbert.
He is survived by: his lov- ing wife, Helen Underwood Melvin; stepdaughter, Melva Canada; two sisters, Barbara Jean Olesco and Janie Mae Adams; two brothers, Freddie Newsome, and Anthony Staten and wife, Nicole; five aunties, Effie Bennett, Madene Green, Lilly Latti- more, Hattie Mae George and Deloris Pickett; three uncles, Joe Lewis and wife, Ossie, Lloyd Lewis and wife, Dar- lene, and Johnny Boy Lewis; mother-in-law, Mary Brant- ley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers in-laws, and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p. m. with a family hour from 7-8 p. m. The pastor and pul- pit, and family will assemble for the processional on Satur- day at 10:45 a. m.

MR. JAMES RECHE’ SIMMONS, JR.
Homegoing celebration for Mr. James Reche’ Simmons, Jr., who passed away April, 25, 2016, will be held May 7, at 11 a. m. at New Progress M. B. Church, 3307 E. Shadowlawn Ave., Tampa, 33610, Rev. E. J. Williams, pastor, with Rev. Danny Osborne, officiating. In- terment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. James Reche’ Sim- mons, Jr., was born in Tampa, on July 13, 1967, to the loving parents, James and Jacquelyn Simmons. He attended the public schools of Hillsborough County and graduated from Chamberlain High School in 1986. After graduation, he joined the U. S. Army, where he served for nine years and was honorably discharged. Upon leaving the Army, he worked in the shipping/re- ceiving department for 18 years at Nutmeg Mills/VF Image Wear, until his demise.
James loved listening to music, shopping and he was an immaculate dresser, but most of all, he loved spending time with friends.
James was preceded in death by: his grandparents, John Simmons and Sarah Car- ley; aunt, Gwendolyn Miller; and uncle, Eddie Simpson.
James leaves to cherish his memories with: loving, devoted parents, Jacquelyn Walker and James Simmons, Sr.; grand- mother, Lillie Henderson; 3 aunts, Flossie Gaines, Sandra Badgette (Lendsey), and Sylvia Baker; great aunt, Eunice Fra- zier; and 5 uncles, Danny Miller, Amando Pedroso, John Sim- mons (Rebecca), Robert Sim- mons (Barbara), Leroy Simmons (Diana), and Clarence Simmons.
James had a multitude of cousins that could not all be listed, but we would be remised if we did not mention: Joann Kohn, Tammy Gaines, Kimberly Gaines, Santanna Guzman, Chaquivia Bankston, Ronald and Timothy Badgette, Linda Aikens, Bridgette Sim- mons, Matthew and Michael Simmons, Theresa Farquhar- son and Yvonne Smith.
James also had a lot of friends that could not be listed, but would again be remised if we didn’t mention: Jimmy Mobley, Derrick Dixon, Derrick Coleman, Tebbie Singleton, and all of James’ coworkers at VF/Image Wear, along with a host of neighbors and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, May 6 at New Progress M. B. Church, 3307 E. Shadowlawn Ave. from 5-8 p. m., with family hour from 6-7 p. m. The funeral cortege will form at 4514 Court- land St., Tampa, 33610, at 10:15 a. m. Family and friends are asked to please assemble at the church at 10:45 a. m.
