Suspect Sought In
Suspect Arrested In Death Of 21-Year-Old Man
Fatal Shooting
On May 3rd at 4 p.m., Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies reported that a shooting occurred in the parking lot of the Del Rio Apartments, 6804 North 5oth Street.
Deputies said Saadyar Roice Johnson, 36, and an- other man were engaged in a verbal altercation that esca- lated. As a result, Johnson was shot several times. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Throughout the course of their investigation, the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice said Hykeem Clifford, 25, was the suspect in the May 1st murder of Angel Manuel Hernandez, 21. Clifford was arrested Tues- day and charged with second degree murder with a firearm.

Shooting Leaves One Man Dead
Early Morning Fire Damages 24 Apartments
St. Petersburg Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday morning in the area of Cen- tral Avenue and 42nd Street.
Officers found Joshua Dante Terrell, 40, on the ground near the street shortly before 6:30 a. m. after receiv- ing several calls of shots being fired in the area. He was transported to a local hospi- tal, where an hour later he was pronounced dead.
Allegedly Forced Girl To Kiss Him
At 3 a.m. Thursday, Hills- borough County Fire Rescue responded to a report of a structure fire. The location was the Palencia Place Apart- ments, 3450 Palencia Drive in Carrollwood.
When units arrived, they found smoke and flames coming through the roof and out of the stairwell of a multi- unit structure. A second alarm was called, to contain the fire and keep it from spreading to an adjacent building.
A total of 24 apartments sustained some type of water, smoke, or fire damage.

Deputies Investigating Night Murder

Polk County Sheriff’s Office Homicide detectives are con- ducting an investigation into a murder that occurred Monday night.
At 11:30 p. m. Monday, deputies responded to 2236 Everett Street in Lakeland. The victim, Eric Dontay Acker- man, 33, lives at the address on Everett Street, and called 911 to say he had been shot.
When deputies arrived, they found Ackerman bleeding profusely. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

St. Petersburg Police re- ported that a 74-year-old plant operator at Campbell Park Elementary School, was arrested last week on charges he forcibly hugged and kissed a special needs student on campus.
Ira Lee Boyd was booked into jail on one count each of false imprisonment, and sim- ple battery. He was released after posting an $11,000 bond.
Investigators said the vic- tim described the incident as “nasty.”
The incident allegedly oc- curred after Boyd gave the girl three $1 bills. Investiga- tors have described the stu- dent as “low functioning.” She was attending an outside class function and being su- pervised by other staff who briefly lost sight of her.
Investigators said Boyd took the girl to a secluded iso- lated area on campus. Ma- chinery kept Boyd and the victim from being seen or heard.

According to the arrest af- fidavit, Boyd forcibly hugged the victim while pressing up against her with his hands on her hips, and firmly kissing her on the mouth. The child told the investigator this was done against her will.
A teaching assistant searching for the girl report- edly saw Boyd firmly em- bracing the child. The assistant was visibly shaken and reported the incident to school administrators.
Boyd reportedly had the authority to supervise the girl, but did not have permission to be alone with her, accord- ing to the affidavit.
