Miami History And Research Foundation Celebrates 40th Year With Exhibit Of 44 Busts Of President Obama Created By Black Artists
The Black Archives History & Research Foundation of South Florida has launched a yearlong celebration to com- memorate its 40 year history with the first exhibit: Visions of Our 44th President Barack Obama exhibition featuring 44 realistic, life-sized busts of the president designed, painted, and embellished by forty-four contemporary African American artists.
Visions opened to the gen- eral public on December 1.
The presidential exposition is housed at the Black Archives Historic Lyric The- ater Cultural Arts Complex, 819 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami, Florida 33136.
Showcasing Visions in Miami not only highlights the historical term of our nation’s first African-American presi- dent,” said Black Archives Ex- ecutive Director Timothy A. Barber. “Through artistic ex- pression, Visions celebrates the accomplishments we have been able to achieve together, as a community, over the past eight years.”
Each artist started with the same blank bust and was charged to commemorate the historical significance of

Despite a social media cam- paign backing Michelle Obama for president in 2020, those close to the First Lady have uniformly expressed that she is not interested.
In fact, in a recently released interview, Rolling Stone's Jann Wenner asked Presi- dent Obama about his wife possibly entering politics; Obama respondedby saying, "Michelle will never run for office. She is as talented a per- son as I know. You can see the incredible resonance she has with the American people. But

I joke that she's too sensible to want to be in politics."
Trump Supporter Goes On 2nd Racist Rant; Video
In Michael’s Goes Viral
Jennifer Boyle felt it was ok to call Black employees ‘animals’ and boasted she voted for Trump.
A Chicago woman whose racist rant against Black em- ployees went viral was caught on video in another incident berating coffee shop workers. The woman, who has been identified by social media users as Jennifer Boyle, made national news Monday after she told employees at a Michael’s arts and craft store that she had voted for Donald Trump to justify her demand for special treatment.
A cashier charged her $1 for a reusable bag that Boyle de- manded for free, and she called the Black employees “animals” and accused them of discrimination in the widely shared video shot by another customer.
Boyle’s now-deleted
LinkedIn profile shows she at- tended DePaul University and worked as a human resources business partner at Sinai Health System, but the com- pany said on Facebook that she had stopped working there prior to the Michael’s incident.
Jessie Grady, who is also white, and who recorded por- tions of Boyle’s most recent rant, set up a GoFundMe page for the Michael’s employees, and the campaign has already raised more than $18,000 — well above her initial goal of $400.
“I’d like to do something to trytomakeituptotheem- ployee who was the main tar- get of this racist attack,” Grady said on the fundraiser page.
Donald Trump Says He Will Leave His Business Before He Takes Office
Donald Trump tweeted on Wednesday that he would leave his “great business in total” before moving into the Oval Office, promising further details next month about his efforts to avoid conflicts of in- terest as he becomes the na- tion’s 45th president.
It is unclear whether the steps Mr. Trump is prepared to take would be enough to satisfy ethics experts who say that putting his children in charge of the business would not be enough to ensure that his official decisions are inde- pendent of his personal finan- cial ones. His daughter Ivanka has attended several meetings with heads of state since the election, and she would be one of the main offi- cers of the Trump Organiza-
