Public Library To Host Holiday Musical Program

She also hosts meetings for women and singles ministry, ministry development, and other programs.
In her book entitled “Con- fessions of a Big Girl,” Ms. Johnston Bush takes the reader on a journey as she
shares stories from her life. The book covers topics such as her discussions with God about being overweight, to the abuse that led her to Christ.
The program is free and open to the public. Light re- freshments will be served.
In keeping with the holiday season, the Robert W. Saun- ders, Sr. Public Library, 1505 N. Nebraska Avenue, will host a program that focuses on the history of Christmas Carols and Songs.
The program will take place in the Ada T. Payne Community Room, on Mon- day, December 5th, at 6 p.m.
The special guest invited to perform is Ms. Naima John- ston-Bush, a nationally
known gospel singer. Ms. Johnston-Bush will present a performance that shares the joy and blessings of the holi- day season through song and storytelling. The Program, en- titled “Hark! The Figgy Pudding!,” is sponsored by the Ada T. Payne Friends of the Urban Libraries.

Grant Writing Workshops Planned For December
The Center for Non-Profit and Community Develop- ment, Inc., will host three free professional grant-writing workshops. The workshops will be held on three separate dates during the month of De- cember.
The first workshop will take place on Thursday, De- cember 15th, from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., at the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. Palm Avenue.
The topics for this work- shop are “How To Prepare A Business Plan,” begin- ning at 1 p.m. “Free Profes- sional Grant Writing Workshop” will begin at 2 p.m.
The second workshop will take place on Friday, Decem- ber 16th, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. Palm Avenue.
The topics for this work- shop are “How To Start A 501c3 Non-Profit,” begin- ning at 1 p.m. “Free Profes- sional Grant Writing Workshop” will begin at 2 p.m.
The third workshop for the month will take place on Sat-
urday, December 17th, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. It will be held at the West Tampa Public Library, 2312 W. Union Street.
The topics for this work- shop are “How To Start A 501c3 Non-Profit,” which will begin at 1 p.m. “Free Professional Grant Writ- ing Workshop” will begin at 2 p.m.
Those in attendance at the workshop will learn how to write a grant; how to prepare a business plan, and how to start a non-profit.
