Mr. Edward Jennings celebrated his 79th birthday on April 6, 2016, with family and friends, while confined to Manor Care Reha- bilitation Center. He shared in memories of days gone by and ex- pecting other years to come with family and friends.
Your wife: Frances Cheeks Jennings; son/daughter, Walter and Charmaine Jennings; daughter/son, Michael and Edwe- nia Jennings Prayon; grandchildren and great grandchildren; and cousins who came from Orange County, FL, Alto and Ellanor Jennings.

Dr. Fred Beaton, Sr., Middleton gradu- ate, class of 1970, re- ceived his third Honorary Doctorate De- gree (University of South Alabama, 2016).
A Martin Luther King, W. E. B. DuBois Scholar, Dr. Beaton published 33 books, short stories and plays, and is certified at the National Association of Minority Writers Con- vention, Washington, DC, 2014.

Three Grant Writing Workshops Planned
The Center for Non-Profit and Community Development and the National Institute for Strategic and Tactical Planning will host free professional grant-writing workshops during the month of April. The workshops will take place on three separate dates.
The first workshop will take place on April 28th, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. Palm Avenue.
The second workshop will take place on April 29th, from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. It will also take place at the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. Palm Avenue.
The third workshop will take place on April 30th, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. It will take place at the West Tampa Public Library, 2312 West Union Street.
All three workshops will cover the same information. Seating is limited and anyone wishing to attend the workshops must e-mail nonprofitcenter1@aol.com to confirm a seat and to obtain an in- vitation and workshop packet. Interested individuals can also visit the website at www.centerfornonprofitanddevelopment.com.
