The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces the opening of a local Community Engagement Office in the downtown Tampa area. The office was established to provide the local community convenient access to a knowledgeable FDOT staffer that can answer questions regarding the Tampa Bay Express. Tampa Bay Express is a series of projects comprising nearly 50 miles of roadway improvements connecting the Tampa Bay region. FDOT encourages interested persons to visit this office as well as the website (www.tampabayexpress.com) to find out more information. Outreach materials and computer access will also be available.

INVITATION TO BID (ITB) B-004-16 GANTRY CRANE FIBER INFRASTRUCTURE PTB PROJECT NO. 16-03315
Port Tampa Bay (PTB) is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors interested in the installation of a fiber optic network using existing and new underground conduits.
Prospective bidders are required to attend BOTH THE MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE AND THE MANDATORY SITE VISIT scheduled for Friday, April 15, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in the PTB Board Room, 1101 Channelside Drive, 1st Floor, Tampa, FL 33602.
The ITB is available through a link on the PTB’s website (www.porttb.com) and the DemandStar System (www.demandstar.com). Interested firms shall submit a completed response to Port Tampa Bay, 1101 Channelside Drive, 4th Floor, Tampa, FL 33602. Sealed Bids are due by Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at which time all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
PTB encourages the use of registered Small Business Enterprise (SBE) firms to the greatest extent possible on PTB projects and has a goal of nine percent (9%) SBE participa- tion. PTB will consider SBE participation when evaluating the bids.
