 Beulah Baptist Institutional Church 157th Anniversary Celebrated
The Beulah Baptist Institutional Church celebrated its 157th church anniversary on Sunday, August 14, 2022. This year’s theme was “We’ve Come This Far By Faith.”
Program participants were: Pastor Alan Harris, Deacon Michael Wright, Sis. Adriane Alexander, Deaconess Patricia Ryans, Deaconess Evelyn Wright, Beulah Baptist Inspirational Choir, Deacon Jerome Ryans, and Rev. Larry Wright. The message was brought by Dr. Kerwin Lee, Senior Pastor, Berean Christian Church, Stone Mountain, GA.
Following the anniversary celebration service, the unveiling and dedication of the sign and historical memorial plaque for the Rev. Dr. A. Leon Lowry, Sr. Family Service Center service was held.
Participating on that program were: Mother Mary Darien, Rev. A. Leon Lowry, II, Pastor Alan M. Harris, Brother and Sister Willie Tims, and Sis- ter Shirley Lowry, widow of Rev. Lowry. (Photographs by Julia Jackson)
   The unveiling and sign dedication for the A. Leon Lowry, Sr. Family Service Center was held after the anniversary service.
Beulah’s pastor, Rev. Alan Harris and Mrs. Shirley Lowry stand by the memorial plaque.
Family members in attendance: members of Beulah, James and Emma Jean Ferguson, Jason Bowen, Tampa, Esai Ferguson and Kosten Ferguson of Ft. Myers, and Tamia.
   Atty. Kaydell Wright and Judge Perry Little attended the anniversary and dedi- cation service.
Mayor Jane Castor attended the serv- ice. She’s shown with Jonas Johnson.
