Bucs Overcome Slow Start To Win 20-10 Vs. Saints
TOM BRADY
Undefeated Bucs Head Home To Face Packers Sunday At 4:25 P.M.
Thanks to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense five take- aways in the fourth quarter, including a pick-six, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have finally beaten the New Or- leans Saints in the regular season, taking down their NFC South rivals 20-10 on Sunday.
Four of those five turnovers came in a nine- play span for Tampa Bay, in- cluding a pair of interceptions by Jamel Dean, and a 67-yard pick-six from Mike Edwards.
Tom Brady’s 28-yard touchdown strike to Bre- shad Perriman was the
only offensive touchdown the Bucs would need, as they held the Saints out of the end zone until the final minutes.
Tampa Bay picked off Jameis Winston (their own all-time leading passer) three times and sacked him six times, as the defense helped the offense overcome a sluggish start that dragged through the first three quar- ters.
The Bucs ended their streak of regular-season losses to the Saints despite losing the total yardage bat- tle, and failing to move the ball on offense for most of the game.
The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers haven't played a game at Raymond James Stadium since August 13. They've lined up a marquee opponent for their homecoming next Sunday.
It's another edition of Tom Brady vs. Aaron Rodgers as the Green Bay Packers come to Tampa for a Week Three contest on Sep- tember 25. Kickoff is sched- uled for 4:25 p.m. ET. That follows four straight road games for the Buccaneers across the preseason and the start of the regular season.
The Buccaneers and Packers did not meet last
Tom Brady Will Reportedly Take Every Wednesday Off From Bucs Practice
TOM BRADY
Whether his performance shows it or not, Tom Brady is 45 years old and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are trying to do whatever they can to keep their star quarterback fresh.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that Brady will be given every Wednesday off for the rest of the season.
Backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert will take the reps in Brady's absence on Wednesdays.
Brady mentioned after his team's season-opening win over the Dallas Cowboys that he was filling a bit more sore than he is accustomed to, so a weekly rest day may be a good way to combat that in the on- going battle versus time.

season but squared off twice in 2020, Brady's first sea- son in red and pewter. Tampa Bay scored 38 unan- swered points in a 38-10
demolition at Raymond James in Week Six of the regular season, then doubled down with a 31-26 victory at Lambeau Field in the NFC Championship Game.
The Buccaneers and Packers are considered prime Super Bowl con- tenders once again in 2022, and Tampa Bay's attempt to repeat as NFC South champi- ons is off to a good start with wins at Dallas and New Or- leans to start the season. Green Bay lost its season opener at Minnesota, 23-7, but rebounded in Week Two with a dominant 27-10 home win over the Chicago Bears.
Frustrated Tom Brady Instigates Brawl That Leads To Teammate Mike Evans Punching Saints’ Marshawn Lattimore; Did Brady Get Ejected?
MIKE EVANS AND MARSHON LATTIMORE
Tom Brady and the New Orleans Saints have a storied history. So do the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And things get heated when big rivalries are involved.
Even on this Sunday night, the match between the Bucs and Saints, nerves were high, and things were heating up. So much so, that a trash talk moment turned into a full-on brawl on the field, leading to Brady losing his last top-tier receiver in Mike Evans. No. 13 for Tampa Bay got thrown out of the game for shoving Marshon Latti- more to the ground.
Even Marshon Latti- more got ejected just before that starting the fight with Leonard Fournette who responded to the shove. But did not get any penalties. The penalties have started a de- bate on social media. And this
issue will surely reverberate for a long time in the NFL community. Brady did not get ejected for his involve- ment, but then again, he physically did not get in- volved.
Mike Evans’ Insane Sucker Punch After Tom Brady and Leonard Fournette Trash Talk Lattimore
The instant reaction from the commentators was, “Mike Evans punched a guy.” Mostly, NFL players can keep their contact with the game.
But, sometimes, things can get personal and roughed up. And this isn’t even the first time the two have locked horns. In an eerily similat sit- uation, Evans and Latti- more got into it almost exactly two years ago.
