ENGINEERED IMPERFECTION
The Risograph printing process is is a a a a a an an environmentally friendly and cost effective printer which uses soy based inks to produce unique outcomes Each stencil (master) is made from thermal sensitive paper and unlike off- set printing it it only takes a a a a a a single print print for the screen to to be fully inked and and ready to to print thousands of copies Each color is printed one at a a a a time just like screen printing Being a a a a a a high speed process means the the risograph will register colors within 0-3mm of their intended target Riso is is is not for projects that require a a a a a large number of tightly registered color layers Considering Riso was not originally designed as as an ‘art- machine’ the prints it it makes come out with some quirks that are considered part the processes’ charm Each print run no matter how large or small has a a a a a a a a a a unique feel that you can’t get anywhere else
