  the Funeral Health and Allied Services Program. On October 11, 2010, Norma was certified from the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. She received her recognition as a Certified Funeral Service Professional (CFSP) at a reception held in New Orleans at the National Funeral Directors Convention. Past committee chair and coordinator for the on-site committals at Bays Watch in Peggy’s Cove for Swiss Air Flight 111, Past Chairman of the Planning Committee for the Funeral Service Association of Canada’s 2007 National Convention held in Halifax from June 6th- 9th, 2007. Norma has taken numerous courses on Bereavement and Suicide Intervention. As of July 2011, she was a Government Appointee to The Nova Scotia Board of Registration of Embalmers and Funeral Directors where she was appointed as Secretary. She was the former Office Administrator to the Nova Scotia Board of Registration of Embalmers and Funeral Directors from 2013- 2018. Norma was also the recipient of the Continuity Award from Women in Business in 2012.
Norma is also very active in the Community. A former founding officer of the Isle Madame ATV Rider’s Association in 1996, Secretary Treasurer of the Isle Madame Volunteer Fire Department; sits on the Board of Directors of the Small Options Society as Chairperson; Secretary Treasurer of the Arichat Community Development Association; Isle Madame Bluegrass Festival Committee; Vice Chairman of the Pay It Forward, Richmond County; Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 150 in Arichat; New Horizon’s Seniors Club in Arichat.
In 2018, Norma and Herman were the recipients of The Jack Hartery Lifetime Achievement Award for Business, an honour that the management and staff of the C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home hold dearly and are very proud of.
Kevin M. Boudreau,
Funeral Director/Embalmer
Born in Malden, Mass, Kevin now resides in Arichat with his wife Noreen. They have two children, Kyle Boudreau and Ashley (Preston) Clorey. Kevin began working for his parents Herman and Norma as a paramedic in 1988 with the C.H. Boudreau Ambulance Service. He continued as a paramedic working for EHS for 29 years until he retired in 2017. Kevin obtained his Funeral Directors and Embalming licenses in March 1993. He is not only a Funeral Director and Embalmer, he also fishes lobster with his son Kyle aboard the Bad Influence. Along with his funeral profession, his love for the sea has grown immensely.
