TWITTER- IMPACTING YOUR BUSINESS 140 CHARACTERS AT A TIME
I will start by saying this, I don’t like Twitter, but just because I don’t like it, doesn’t mean it’s
not GREAT for your business.
Why don’t I like Twitter? It’s fast paced, meaning you don’t get seen for long! I prefer QUALITY
over QUANTITY, but that’s the interesting beauty of Twitter, the quantity the act of actually
OVER POSTING can HELP you.
I have used Twitter for one strategy, and ONE strategy ONLY! I blasted my eBay Store Link, and
certain products every 5-15 minutes 24 hours per day using the software of PostCron to DRIVE
massive amounts of FREE traffic to my store!
Now did they bring me many sales? Doubtful, but that wasn’t the WHY I did it. For eBay, the
more people visit your store and the more your item is viewed, the higher it is on the search
results page!
***Sometimes in business the front-end methods we use make us outside secondary money.
Because in a world of highly competitive sales, when you and 100 others are selling the same
item, say all at the same price point, being ranked high is key! Just like ranking on Google!
This can work wonderfully for a Shopify Store of Amazon Items! Especially, if you don’t have a
big marketing budget for Facebook Ads.
Now for the rest of you NONE ecommerce people, being able to SHARE your IG posts directly to
your Twitter account with only a click allows you to “LAZILY” create a small Twitter following.
Throughout my 5 years in the industry I have also found that NOT all businesses should be on
Twitter.
Depending on your LOCAL business, unless you have an online store, I have found Twitter
doesn’t impact LOCALLY areas like Instagram can. So, as a rule of thumb, at least for my
marketing management company, unless you are an artist/musician, locally I don’t run many
Twitter accounts.
WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESSES/INDUSTRIES SHOULD BE ON TWITTER?
1. Bloggers/Writers/Poets
2. Life Coaches
3. Musicians
4. Gaming Industry
