but over time the entire family embraced the family journal project with pride.
I am going to go one step further in this chapter and give you a free gift. Working with hundreds of clients over the years, I have created a daily five-step plan that I encourage all of my clients to embrace. The Gratitude Therapy exercise I just shared with you comprises step one and five of the plan:
!" #$%&' ()*$ +$,-&*.' /%0& %1 &2' 3)$1%1+" 2.

5. In the evening, read your gratitude list out loud.
As you may be beginning to see, everything we are doing in this book is not just about ending your panic attacks and managing your anxiety. It is about intentionally creating the life you both want and deserve. It is about making choices to become someone you are proud of and happy to be.
Steps two to four of this daily plan incorporate practices you learned above. All of the steps tap into changing important parts of your life by having you intentionally, and with Repetition and Gratitude, become those things the steps encourage though intention.
Here is “The Daily 5” in its entirety. Copy it, post it on your fridge and get the whole family involved. Trust me – this can be life changing!
