Richard Eby Leadership Award
This award is presented to a student who proudly represented COMP in a leadership role at one or more national osteopathic conferences, and proactively shared with classmates what
they learned upon their return.
Caitlin Jackson
Class of 2022
Caitlin is a student leader and champion of Osteopathic medicine. She has served as a board member on the American Medical Women’s Association as well as held roles
in the Obstetrician/Gynecology Interest Group. She represented WesternU at the annual
American College of Osteopathic
Obstetricians and Gynecologist’s Advances in Women’s Health conference. Caitlyn brought back lessons learned and shared them with fellow club members offering ideas on treating female athletes. Further, she is always on the lookout for speakers and mentors to help her classmates match into this competitive field.
Rodney P. Wineberg Scholarship
As the original building contractor for the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, Mr. Wineberg was widely known for his strength of character, integrity, humor, and belief in service to others. This award is presented to a first-year student who honorably served or is serving in the United States Armed Forces and demonstrates a deep commitment to community service.
Minnie Sakulsakpinit
Class of 2023
Minnie grew up in an Air Force family. Today she is a reservist in the United States Air Force and hopes to serve her country as an Air Force physician. Minnie has a servant’s heart and a spirit of volunteerism. While at Oregon State University, Minnie gave her time to special needs children as a part of their
“IMPACT” program. She also worked with Multiple Sclerosis patients creating individualized exercise programs aimed
at health and well-being. Her patient’s ages ranged from 8
to 70 showing Minnie that quality of life can be impacted at all stages of life. Today she gives her time to multiple clubs aimed at helping the Pomona. We sincerely thank her for her military service.
