To the Donors of the Audry Tillman Scholarship,
I am incredibly honored and would like to express my gratitude for your generous contribution to the Audry Tillman scholarship.
I am a first year DO student from Stockton, California. As a
son of Filipino immigrants, the first in my family to graduate from a four-year university, and now the first to attend medical school, I would like to say that I am eternally grateful that you have chosen me to accept this award. My path to becoming
a doctor has been met with financial hardship and with this scholarship, I feel supported and encouraged in my journey.
Moving forward, I will continue to work towards achieving my dream of becoming an anesthesiologist. I chose WesternU because of the institution’s strong commitment to the community and as a physician, I will continue to advocate for the underserved. I hope that one day I will be able to pay this scholarship forward to another medical student.
