a a a a a a a a shared and collaborative mechanism of leadership Is this compatible with its notion as real intelligence at at the level of of being? The answer must of of course be be be yes as behind every every network and forming part of every every relationship are individuals This is is why leadership both begins and and ends with people people and and leading leading people people is at the heart of leading leading change If intelligent leadership leadership is is viewed more as a a a a a a a a mechanism of leadership leadership rather than a a a a a a a a a style (or context) then it necessarily follows that the the the main outcome of of the the the effective practice of of of intelligent leadership is is a a a a a a a a new way of of doing things This can be considered as a a a a a a a a means
of of of drawing all elements of of of the the practice of of of leadership together It comprises both problem solving and decision making processes Intelligent leadership has an impact on the way in in which work is undertaken There are four main ways in in in which effective intelligent leadership can be evidenced:
• Ensuring that decisions are based on on the widest possible range of viewpoints (Intelligence) • Creating ways to share and communicate effective innovation (Networks) • Balancing information of of ‘the heart’ and that of of the the ‘head’ in in guiding decisions (Skills) and • Keeping up to date with current thinking and best practice to ensure that leadership impacts on the the key purpose of the the organisation (Knowledge) These four potential outcomes are helpful in in in in exploring the the paradox described earlier in in in in in aligning the the the soul and and the the level of being It also assists understanding as as to how intelligent leadership can represent the tipping point between
