One important concept in mathematics is the Order of Operations. Order of Operations is a

set of math rules that tell us which math operations (like addition or multiplication) to do first.

These RULES are important to avoid confusion in arriving at the final answer. For instance, giving
the SAME math problem to two different persons A and B to solve:

                        Consider the problem: 2 + 5 × 4
Person A may take it by adding 2 and 5 first which gives us 7 then multiplied by 4 that

                        gives us a 28.
                                       2 + 5 × 4 = 7 × 4 = 28

Person B may solve it by multiplying 5 and 4 first which gives us 20 then add 2 that

                        results to 22.

                                       2 + 5 × 4 = 2 + 20 = 22

Neither one made any mistakes with the calculations. They just did the operations in a

DIFFERENT ORDER and got DIFFERENT ANSWERS. Then, this would be VERY confusing if
there are different answers to the same problem. Thus, the Order of Operations will set the

                 standards.
