RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT
Ornamental Planting
This zone comprises 35 high quality dwellings (22 market houses and 13
affordable houses) with associated access, parking, landscaping and open
space. The proposed dwellings are arranged in streets with private rear
gardens. There will be a hierarchy of streets including the main access
circulation roads and narrower shared surface roadways. Breaks in the Rear Gardens
built form will be provided by primary and secondary roadways. Open
spaces in residential areas will include rain gardens and filter surface
water run-off and will create unique planting areas. Ornamental and
native street tree varieties together with a restrained palette of shrubs and
herbaceous planting will provide colour and year-round visual interest to
semi-private and public spaces, softening the streetscape and definition
of the public realm. . The planting Pallette includes: Acer campestre,
Corylus avellana, Prunus ‘Spire’, and others.
