Land to the Rear of Eden Meadows Implementation and Management Structure
8.0 IMPLEMENTATION AND MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE
8.1 This LBMS incorporates the objectives and prescriptions for the suggested approach to be
adopted in the maintenance and management of the landscape features that are to be
incorporated into the Proposed Development.
8.2 The aim is to promote a sensitive management approach, which protects and improves the
landscape and visual amenity value interests of the Site and is compatible with the proposed
uses of the Site.
8.3 It is appropriate that a management body be appointed under the terms of a planning
obligation to take forward the relevant landscape and ecological components of this LBMS as
construction is implemented.
8.4 It is recommended that where landscape components occur on adopted highways, the
management of these components according to the prescriptions above be taken up by the
relevant agency.
8.5 It is recommended that this LBMS is reviewed every five years to appraise the effectiveness of
the maintenance regimes, and to establish any changes in the landscape and biodiversity
conditions. Monitoring requires that some record should be made of the condition of the
landscape and biodiversity components at the start of the period, the work carried out, and
how well the habitats and landscape respond. This review should assess the extent to which
the measures undertaken have achieved the objectives and vision of the LBMS and should
identify whether the same measures should continue, or different methods be introduced, in
order to achieve the objectives.
