When the Hierarch exclaims Singing the victory hymn, the deacon takes hold of the asterix with three fingers from his right hand and makes the sign of the cross, and after venerating it he places it to the side.23 During Your own of your own... the Hierarch with crossed hands raises up the chalice and diskos together.
After It is truly right... the Hierarch exclaims: Above all, remember O Lord, our Archbishop and Patriarch..., and then the most senior priest commemorates the Hierarch and then kisses him on his right hand. With this the deacon goes and stands in front of the holy doors and facing the people says: Remember, O Lord, our bishop /name/ who offers these Hon orable and Holy Gifts to the Lord our God, for the peace and stability of the whole world, for the good estate of God’s Churches and unity with all, and for the salvation and protec tion of all here present, and for all of those whom we each call to mind, and for all and for all.
The exclamations And grant that with one voice... as with And may the mercies... are said by the Hierarch, after which the deacon offers the ordinary litany.
Following Holy Gifts, for the holy the Hierarch communes himself first, and then the remaining priests and deacons, in their hands, after which he washes his hands.
After the communion of the faithful, the Hierarch says Save, O God, Your people... and then, having censed the chalice, hands it to the priest who says Always, now and forever...
During the dismissal, the priests all leave the altar to stand around the Hierarch.
