The Priest bows to the Deacon and to the people, asking for for giveness. Then, with fear and caution they approach to partake in the Holy Communion.
Priest: Behold, I approach Christ, our immortal King and God. The precious and most Holy Body of our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ is given to me (name) the unworthy Priest, for the forgiveness of my sins and for life eternal.
Then, the Priest says: Deacon, draw near.
Deacon: Behold, I draw near to the Immortal King and God. Impart unto me, Master, the precious and Holy Body of our Lord, God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Priest: To the Deacon (name), is imparted the precious, holy, and all pure Body of our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins and life everlasting.
Then, the Priest, with the communion cloth in his hands, takes the Chalice, saying:
The precious and most Holy Blood of our Lord, God, and Savior, Jesus Christ is given to me (name) the Priest, for the remission
of my sins and for life eter nal.
He drinks from the Holy Cup. Then he kisses the Holy Cup,
wipes his lips and the Cup, say ing:
This has touched my lips, it shall take away my trans
gressions, and cleanse my sins.
