 Priest: Deacon, draw near.
Deacon: Behold, I draw near to the Immortal King, and God. Impart unto me, Master, the precious and Holy Blood of our Lord, God, and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Priest: The servant of God, (name) the Deacon, partakes of the precious and Most Holy Blood of our Lord, God and Savior, Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of sins, and life ever lasting.
Behold, this has touched your lips, and shall take away your transgressions and cleanse your sins.
Then the Deacon prepares the Holy Chalice for Communion. After wards, with reverence accepts the Chalice from the Priest, proceeds to the Holy Doors, raises the Holy Chalice showing it to the people and saying:
Deacon: In the fear of God, and with faith draw near! People: Blessed is He Who comes in the name of the
Lord! The Lord is God and has appeared to us.
All the faithful come forth to receive Holy Communion, and the Communion hymn is chanted.
People: Receive the body of Christ, taste the Fountain of Immortality! Alleluia.
When administering Holy Communion, the Priest says:
Priest: The body and blood of Christ. The Faithful: Amen.
