In the after-reading stage, use tasks to support the reader to analyse concepts for deeper understanding of ideas and organise information for later retrieval. The following examples can be adapted as required to suit the learning objectives and needs of the reader.
Examples of After-Reading Activities 1. Chain game
After the students have finished reading, ask them to go through the reading and try to remember some of the key points and details. Split the students in to small groups and have them sit in a circle. Student 1 has to recall some information about the text. Student 2 then repeats that information and adds something new. Continue this process until the group runs out of ideas
