Transitions® Adaptive Lenses™

• Chromea 7™Technology is a patented formulation consisting of unique dyes that are integrated into the
surface of the lens. The dyes are made up of molecules that constantly and smoothly recalibrate as the light
around you changes.

• Broad spectrum dye (in Transitions® XTRActive® adaptive lenses) change in the car, the glass in car
windshields blocks most UV light. That’s why most photochromic lenses do not provide sufficient darkening
in the car. But the special photochromic molecules in Transitions XTRActive lenses responds to both UV light
and natural
(visible, clear or white) light, so they are able to darken in the car – something no clear lens can do!

• All Essilor Transitions Lenses have Essilor’s Smart Blue Filter™ feature, which reduces exposure to Harmful
Blue Light*

*Harmful Blue Light is the high energy waves found between 415-455nm on the light spectrum and is believed to
be the most toxic to retinal cells.
