FBLA Programs:
Elevating Student’s
Future
Excelling in Projects
FBLA projects give the students the tools to
improve their business talents such as teamwork,
communication, dedication, organization, and
imagination.
Some FBLA projects, such as the Public
Announcement, can have up to three teammates
working together. Students learn to
equally divide workloads and have Working
group brainstorming sessions.
Students who have grouped hard

FBLA projects are challenging and competitive,
because of this, students are determined to be the
best. They work hard while having fun, and they
acquire a better feel of what a competitive
workplace will feel like.
Projects for example Graphic Design require an
imaginative mind. Students are designing their own
business, logos, and advertisement products.
Business projects that involve imagination can
widen the horizon for students who want to pursue
a business career.

A+ Testing
FBLA testing programs are equipping
students with the knowledge and preparation
to succeed in their careers. Mathematics tests
such as Accounting One and Two challenge
students that havetaken accounting classes to
apply the concepts outside of the classroom.
Coding and Cyber Security are only a couple
of the many tests in the cyber field.
Tests like these spark interest in
students who have never considered
careers in computer/business areas.
FBLA is all about business careers,
so it is no surprise they have a huge
variety of business environment
related tests. Emerging Business
Issues, Health Care Administration
and Help Desk only begin to cover
the wide range of tests students can choose
from. Business tests similar to these provide
FBLA students a head start into the world of
business by teaching them concepts of
interaction with clients/customers and the
preparation to deal with issues or concerns in
a business.

Business Consultant
Q Give us some background on the partnership
between NW Ink and your FBLA students.
A NW Ink started a little over a decade ago
and a few years after we partnered with our FBLA students
to help prepare them for the business world. It’s a really unique opportunity
because the class combines art and business, it gives students a skill that they
can put on their resumes.
Q What do you and your FBLA students value
most about this partnership?
We have a small school, so every student is involved
A in everything - sports, robotics, FBLA, band, you name it. They don’t have
the time for an actual job. Students can take this elective course and
learn about the equipment and how to run a business.
Q Northwestern has a very successful FBLA program, to what
do you credit the success?
It’s all the students. Our FBLA members truly want to participate and
A succeed in what they do. They are constantly working on their projects
before and after school.
