Gap
Israel is ranked 44th (out of 144 countries
In the 2017 Global Gender Gap Index (GPI).
Currently in Israel, women represent, only
13% (470) out of about 3600 City Council
members. Only 2% (6) out of 257 Mayors and
only 28.3% of the Knesset Members (MKs).
Although the rate of the women working
as civil servants is 65%, only 12% are in
executive positions, and 0% are in senior
management positions in governmental
companies.
