eastern.

VIX Index (CBOE Volatility Index)
An index that measures the upward and downward movement of the S&P 500 index options.
The VIX can be used to gauge if a market is risk adverse or not.

Word on the street
The thoughts that are being written and spoken about on news sources such as CNBC and
Bloomberg.

Value at Risk
A measure of how much of a portfolio is at risk at any given time: also known as VaR.
