Lift the three cord parts on

rotate them through 180°.

Insert the end of the pole,
5 rope or other object
beneath one of the end loops.
Slide the pole, rope or
6 other object over the centre
crossing and push it carefully
through the other loop.
Work the knot into shape
7 and pull on the ends to
tighten it.
