                       Coaching Philosophy
My coaching philosophy is pretty simple “To have an environment that encourages athletes to learn and develop on and off the playing field and to create a positive
learning environment in good and bad times” I developed this by reading, listening, learning, and observing other football coaches through my career. The athlete needs

Jr. to be given the opportunity to develop his skill level in a structured and sound learning environment that constantly challenges him while at the same time providing
encouragement, support and exposure to learning to increase mental toughness. Each athlete needs to develop their core skills constantly to provide him with a solid
Dunn, base as they progress in their sport. The athlete will benefit when exposed to challenging drills that require effective decision making and precise execution under
pressure. The repetitiveness of these varied drills during practice helps develop competency and confidence in the athlete. As a football coach, I feel I have the

opportunity to teach student-athletes how to build character traits outside the classroom. The character traits include the following: strong work ethic, teamwork,
Nigel A. respect, fair play, mental toughness, commitment, physical fitness, and discipline. I utilize an acronym that I require all players to exemplify. The acronym is
