In order to foster a good learning atmosphere in which students can process, internalize and
make the information theirs, some approaches will be used, such as the functional approach
and cooperative learning. Additionally, in this module students will participate in formative
and summative assessment.
In this module, students will work with academic writing which will help them achieve A2
Level, described in the CEF, in which students will write an essay or report which develops
an argument systematically with appropriate highlighting of significant points and relevant
supporting detail.
Course General Objective:
Use the English language correctly and appropriately to accomplish communication goals.
Course Specific Objectives :
1. Apply strategies for distinguishing differences and similarities and justify decisions
with supporting evidence and arguments in written compositions.
2. Argue viewpoints and opinions logically and coherently in written compositions.
3. Demonstrate logical organization in written products.
4. Manipulate organization and formatting of written texts in order to achieve different
effects.
5. Write effectively in different voices and styles for various purposes.
