Meals on Wheels America Loves Pets!

                                      Community First Solutions provides Meals-
on-Wheels for hundreds of older adults in
Butler County. Many of our clients have
beloved companions and need help caring
for their pets. Drivers for the program carry pet snacks and provide pet food
when they see a person needs help feeding his/her pet. There is also a limited
amount of funding to help with some extraordinary veterinary expenses or
        other pet supplies.
Karen Dages, the person in charge of the program, applies for a yearly grant
for program funding but she is looking for people to make donations to help
her funds go further. The program accepts monetary donations as well as do-
nations of pet food, cat litter, and other supplies. The program operates out of
the Westover Campus located at 855 Stahlheber Rd., Hamilton, Ohio 45013.

These toys are something special (and inexpensive) you crocheters
can make for your dog. Always be sure to supervise play time with
                                  these or any toys.

Start with an old, clean t-shirt. Begin at the bottom and cut a 1&1/2
inch, unbroken strip around and around the shirt until you cannot cut
any farther. As you cut the material, roll it up in a ball and use it like
                                        yarn.
