We need money and knowledge in order for us to expand and excel.
Hence, we must find ways to get the most returns from these two aspects.
We need to generate new sources of revenues and to ensure financial
sustainability and resilience. We will focus on our core business, which is
education, research, and research impact.
We will be creative and strategic in creating a bold new financial model in
sustaining our expenses and we cannot be complacent any more in our
financial management. With new economic challenges, we will face even
more challenges.
That is why we will have new bold ventures for the good of our university.
This includes setting up our branches and campuses abroad for different
levels of study. We will also have an expanded global presence in key
countries in having our research centres and student and community
centres in strategic areas and zones in different regions and countries
that will have a direct impact on the community, country, and region in
that particular geographical area, besides expanding our global impact
footprint.
We will ensure our own financial sustainability without continuing to rely
on government funding.
