Avraham did not tell Sarah that he was going to do the Akeidah. He
brought his son to the Mizbeach without attracting any attention, not even
that of his close attendants. Avodat Hashem needs to be done without
fanfare, not for personal fame or honorable acclaim. Avraham did the
