When Yaakov Avinu passed away, he was universally mourned. Why
does the Torah not list the followers of the Avot who were drawn close
to them as participating in the funeral?
Although they were inspired by the lives of the Avot, they did not
continue their observance after their demise. Without a guide, they went
adrift.
