The Torah ends with a description of Moshe’s acts on behalf of Am # 26347-EYAL-6
Yisrael, and immediately afterward, begins with a description of Creation
and Shabbat. Man’s entire purpose is for the sake of observing the
mitzvot. Man’s moral obligation is to emulate Moshe Rabbeinu in his
service of Hashem.
Before creating this world, Hashem created other worlds, which He
destroyed. What is unique about our world, affording it endurance?
The Zohar states that Hashem created the world according to a blueprint,
the Torah. The Torah contains the mitzvah of teshuvah, which allows the
world to continue existing even after mankind sins.
“And by all the strong hand and awesome
power that Moshe performed before the eyes of
all Israel”
(Devarim 34:12)
“In the beginning of G-d’s creating the heavens
and earth”
(Bereishit 1:1)
