INNOVATION SPACES Makerspace, IITD
Makerspace IITD is an initiative of Design Innovation Centre (DIC) IIT Delhi, which is funded and supported by Ministry
of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), Government of India. It is a facility which provides its users physical
space and access to resources and guidance in a flexible format that reciprocates to the interests and skill levels of
users seeking technical and implementational help on self-directed projects. Its highest priority is to provide a solution
to each and every machining and prototyping requirement either directly at Makerspace IITD or through a chain of
collaborations with the other Makerspaces under MHRD.
At Makerspace IITD, students can work at their convenience beyond office hours, interact with fellow students and
experts, and overcome the challenges in product realization in any field of work. Makerspace holds the key to
unlocking the potential for innovation in students and their aspirations.
Way of Working
- Registering for free training sessions in Laser Cutting, 3D Printing, CNC Milling and Vacuum Forming and
utilizing them for projects/research/purpose.
- Pre-booking slots for using various machineries and tools.
- Participating in interesting events and competitions.
